The Curse of Monkey Island™

This classic game is awesome today as it was 20+ years ago. I'd rate it 5 stars, but it's disappointing to see that the release is english only. Personally I don't really care, but it would be nice to have the old multi5 dubs. I don't know if this is a case of Disney being lazy or if the dubs are gone forever, but since Grim Fandango Remastered had them... come on, find them and patch them in asap!

the game had other translation, why just english ?

Playing Monkey Island 2 was a determining life event in my childhood, so I thought - why not try another game in the franchise? Turns out, the campy voice acting and "upgraded" graphics completely kills the magic that the original two games had. This is a campy kids' game, nothing more. What's worse, now I'm worried I only liked the older games because I was a kid when I played them, and now I'm cynical. All in all, playing this was a wake up call I didn't ask for, and I feel let down.

Old and bad

Keeping it short: the art style, the humour, the writing, the characters and the atmosphere are way below the incredible standards of The Secret of Monkey Island and LeChuck's revenge. Everything is done wrong. This is just a child's poor imitation of what Monkey Island is. You may argue it's still a somewhat decent P&C adventure, and it is, but it's definitely not a Monkey Island game. Incredibly disappointed. Hope someday Disney sells the rights to Monkey Island to Ron Gilbert and we can finally have the Monkey Island 3 we deserve.
