System Shock

Played on normal for all difficulties. Fantastic artstyle and visuals are crisp at 1440p on my GTX1660 super i5 4670k rig. Within 5 minutes of booting it up, you are in the game proper and have an entire space station at the ready to explore. Items are permanent in the space station, this allows you to create your own armory wherever you like as well as stockpile ammo and whatever else you dont want in your inventory at the time. Only the occasional boss or cyberspace encounter break up the pacing, but doesnt take too long to get past. Hope they do another one and add modifiers/mutators like Selaco for replayability.

I'm not really a gamer who can say wholeheartedly, that I am a fan of remakes of iconic games, but this is an exception. There are others but this one takes the cake, and this cake isn't a lie. I played System Shock 2 before this, and even now that old piece of art captivated my attention more so than a lot of modern titles. Which made try this one. I may be a Gen-Zer, but I can only imagine the original System Shock is just as, if not more, atmospheric and complex as this remake. I haven't played it, but I will, and this already this seems like a faithful and great adaptation to it. Very pretty and well optimized. System Shock deserves more love.

The game is amazing, and the remake of it fixes so many issues with the original while looking incredible and playing like a triple A experience

I played the original when it came out, but while innovative and phenomenal in general, it was too hard to play. The way you moved around was too complex. This game, with updated graphics and game play is a a treat. I can say that this version of the game is one of the best first person RPGs ever made.

I've been playing for only 3 hours and I am IMMERSED in this world that I have heard so many fantastic things about and it is truly horrifying and entertaining!
