Made for VR

The first time I played SUPERHOT was in Tallinn, Estonia, at a VR café. It was the coolest piece of gaming I had seen in a long long time. To be playing this without VR, I can't see how that would work. In the game, enemies move as you move, but to move a mouse around doesn't give the same experience as moving around yourself. I have a feeling this game was made specifically for VR, and at the very least, it has to be played with VR to give you the full experience. Great game, great concept, but without VR, it falls a bit short

Time move with you, they said

First time moves constantly. Bullets are slowly fly. Cars slowly moving. You got white on white interface which is very useful. You expected to be pixel perfect when targeting. While opponents handle gun it has infinite ammo and fires like a machine gun, when you take it become almost manually reloaded and got finite random number of ammo. And whole game is tiny. Not worse the money spent.

SUPER HOT

One year late to the party I finally bought SUPER HOT. While it isn't the most action packed, fast paced, and visually stunning game, it is still a fine piece of video game art. The simplistic art style helps the gameplay and provides an unique experience besides 8/16bit pixel art. The game is rather short, though. It took me approx. 2hrs 45mins to beat the story missions. After that an endless and a challenge mode unlocked, to there will be definitely a couple of hours more play time. Is the game worth the full price? Maybe, it depends on how you value your gaming experience and hard earned money. But if you can get this game at a sweet discount like me (~10€) you really should give it a try. (4 stars for full price, 5 stars for discounted price) Long story shot... It's the most innovative shooter I've played in years!

Polished, addictive, short

It's the most innovative shooter I've played in years! This game has very few mechanics, but they are polished to perfection. It's incredibly satisfying to play! The main story is very short: you can probably finish it in an evening. However I'm actually enjoying playing through the challenge modes, which is a first for me. You might not get that many hours out of it, but you will have a lot of fun.
