Hired for a critical mission, explore and master huge open environments as Styx. Assassinate or sneak past enemies – Humans, Elves and Dwarves – but also much more fearsome, colossal creatures.
Experiment with the new array of lethal abilities and weapons in your goblin assassin's arsenal. Spend experience points in assassination, infiltration, magic, to learn new skills and improve abilities. Explore, recover valuable artifacts and ingredients to craft deadly traps and useful items, and create clones of yourself to deceive your enemies!

This version on GOG does not include Co-op features. As a token of apology, we offer the DLC 'Akenash set' as a part of every purchase.

The Akenash Outfit
Here's the one-and-only, classic outfit from Styx's first adventure! Whenever Styx summons a clone, its duration before disappearing is increased.

The Dagger of Akenash
Styx's first dagger. Old yet sturdy, this rusty blade was dragged through miles of infested marshes. This caused it to be covered in all manner of deadly acid. Anyone killed with the Dagger of Akenash will dissolve instantly.

Styx: Shards of Darkness greatly resembles the earlier Styx: Master of Shadows from 2014, but Cyanide improved the gameplay this time around with the inclusion of craftable weapons, the lack of a lock-on in combat, and expanded abilities. It presents an interesting world to explore but wastes its potential by recycling environments from early missions late in the game. Co-op mode is fun, too, but only selectively as some stealth-only missions seem far more manageable on one's own.

A good value priced action/stealth game

Styx: Shards of Darkness is a good action/stealth game that plays similar to games like Metal Gear Solid, Thief, and Splinter Cell. I enjoyed my romp through this fantasy title and I hope others get to enjoy it as much as I have.
