excellent game, tranquil and fun
played this on release for dozens of hours and now years later playing it all over again with my son :)

Love it
I have spent quite awhile in this game, have I went over board and done every possible thing and explored every possible thing? no. What I did find was something unique to get me away from terraria and into a more scifi setting with tons of awesome stuff to do. Loot, explore hundreds of randomly gen planets, meet awesome alien races, and raid space ships, oh and dont forget build your own mech. Idk I didnt follow this game until about last year and Im not a hardcore gamer like I use to be but I find this game satisfying.

Spectacular sci fi sandbox
I don't like pixel games. I don't like platformers. I love Starbound which is both. The sandbox elements, the RPG progression, the wide variety of activities, even the story, all come together for an amazing experience. The only downside is the limitations of randomly generated levels that result in a degree of sameness. Fortunately there is a lot of variety in the content, especially when digging through different biomes. Plenty of easter eggs, and hidden rarities, like the gnome gun that shoots rainbows I found on my last playthrough. The game also makes a solid effort at post-game content and progression with dungeons resulting in some difficult boss fights. I am glad my friends convinced me to give this a try as it is not something I normally would bother with, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys crafting and sandboxes, or likes platform shooters.

Wait, wait. Let me get this straight: I get to play a robot, stuck mindset-wise in the middle ages? I own a spaceship? And my own mecha-power-armor-thingy? And a house -- I get to build my own house? And farm chili peppers? And scrounge stuff of ocean floors? And build a space station? My spaceship can get bigger? AND I GET MY OWN PIG? MY VERY OWN PIG?!? Oh -- and I get to do all this in coop. Yeah, I think that might just do it.

Какой-то недолёт
Подключение к сетевой игре можно было бы сделать ещё хуже чем есть сейчас. Разработчикам в аннотации нужно предупреждать, что желающим поиграть в кооперативный режим нужно быть готовым к хорошему облому, ну или или нанять инструктора по настройке, лучше из-за границы.
