Just needs Mysteries of the Sith!
I'm currently replaying this after several years. Oh man is it awesome! Sure, there's some goofiness to it, but it's well worth the price. The only thing that could make it better would be the Mysteries of the Sith add-on

This game was my childhood
I can't even begin to say how many months of my childhood i withered away playing this game and some mod of it. Back when I still had a functioning set of discs for it (that I may still have somewhere) I also had dozens, if not more, mods for it that I would swap out and play it again with. The only thing I would have ever changed about the base game was the light saber choices were quite bland. But that is where some of the best modders came in and made it so you could dual wield or use a staff. Some even made dual phase mods where you could have a standard length saber or a double length. Basically I changed up my experience with this game almost every time I played it. I love it, I still love it. I know anyone that gives it an HONEST try will probably love it also. The base mechanics are smooth, the force is a little rough but I gotta say they did well with it all things considered. Deffinetly worth the money.. I wish I had the money. I can just see me slaughtering my son in the multiplayer like I used to do to my brother.

Classic Dark Forces
While it's not the pretty game in the stable, the puzzle design still holds up strong, even to this day. I remember sneaking into the computer room, with a bunch of my friends, at lunch time of course! We would install the game, renamed the file as something else, so it wouldn't be deleted! It was so much fun! The single player game was also a lot of fun as well, with a really good storyline, memorable characters, and the first game that brought the lightsaber into the first person perspective. I would give it a 9.5/10 score, only because of the graphics, and some minor glitches, otherwise it is perfect!

Это просто великолепно!
Star Wars Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II, или же просто Dark Forces II, это сильнейший представитель олд-скульных шутеров. Каждая деталь этой игры неоспоримо хороша, кроме, конечно же, графики и совместимости, но это уже по причине старости игры и разработчик на это никак не мог повлиять. Поначалу игра кажется скучной и черезчур сухой - патронов сильно нехватает, здоровье быстро теряется, но как только вы достигаете светового меча и начинаете драться со штурмовиками - это становится поистинну великолепным зрелищем. Забегать в толпу из пяти-восьми человек и вырубать её одним ударом - непереносимое ощущение. Но помимо этого в игре есть очень большие и длинные уровни, которые почти не надоедают и сделаны так что всегда понятно куда идти и что делать (несмотря даже на то что в игре есть и лабиринты), вставки с живыми актёрами, которые, конечно, играют не очень хорошо, но стыда не вызывают и сюжет у игры хоть и набит клише, но он служит приятным дополнением а не основной целью игры. Кстати спецэффекты в этих сценах хорошие, и они довольно неплохо передают атмосферу игры Геймплейно игра просто умопромрачительно хороша - драки на световых мечах, джедайские и ситские способности превращают вас в мясорубку на двух ногах, а огромный арсенал из кучи видов оружий позволяет выносить врагов не то что толпами, а сотнями. Так же игру разбавляют схватки с тёмными джедаями через каждые два-три уровня, и прокачка, позволяющая принять одну из двух сторон силы и прокачивать 8 способностей на выбор. Есть проблемы с графикой - при попытке включения 3D ускорителя в игре просто вылезает чёрный экран с интерфейсом и звуками игры, но без графики. Такое есть не у многих, но лично мне это очень мешает так как я не могу играть в 1080р и наслаждаться более хорошей графикой. Крайне советую с ознакомлением, каких бы денег игра не стоила (кстати к ней в комплект дают Mysteries of Syth - дополнение со своим сюжетом и нововведениями). 4 звезды из 5, из-за проблем с совместимостью. Это шедевр.

Still one of the best SW games out there
So yeah, I just wrapped up my latest playthrough like a few minutes ago. I’ve been a huge fan of the game since it dropped almost 30 years ago (and, of course, MotS too). Seriously, the vibe is unbeatable. The game totally gives off that real Star Wars feel. The soundtrack is awesome, and that mix of shooter and RPG (you know, kinda like Deus Ex) was totally genius back in the day (even if that doesn’t only apply to Dark Forces 2). With a little help from GitHub, it’s running like a charm on W11/3440x1440, no crashes, it’s flawless. I play through it once every year—it's basically turned into a tradition, for reals. - Story 10/10 - Gameplay 9/10 - Atmosphere 10/10 - Replay value 9/10 - Graphics 8/10 (still like them, don't compare them to modern titles though) - Level design 8/10 - Star Wars feeling 10/10 - Soundtrack 9/10
