OK-ish
The game it is actually fun. Outdated graphics but not a huge problem (at least not for me), a bit short like 4 hours but it is only the first game in the franchise after all. It has some bugs here and there but nothing that breaks the game. I recommend this game and the others from the Sniper Ghost Warrior series.

Decent start to a solid franchise!
Pretty slick shooter. The manner in which the story flows, certainly invokes the original 007: Golden Eye with a little CoD4: Modern Warfare on the side. For a linear story flow, it plays better than what EA and Activision have been shovelling as of late. For the most part, it's a solid oldschool single player modern military action game with some simcade ballistics (when wielding sniper rifles). Compared to Sniper Elite, the original Ghost Warrior leans more toward arcade than a tactically focused simulation shooter. If you prefer more tactically focus affair (in a modern setting) as opposed to the Michael Bay inspired action extravaganas CoD and Battlefield are pushing - Definitely give the Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchise a go!

Mostly good fun, frustrating in parts.
I enjoyed the game for the most part, though I lost patience and cheated part way through. The initial sniper parts were great and the graphics are impressive enough. Switching to the team equipped with the assault rifle, supplied with amazingly innacurate sights, while the enemy can hit you from across the map, was less enjoyable. As a sniper on a tower, getting nailed to the spot by too many highly accurate shots made me realise I'd stopped having fun and so I employed a cheat for the rest of the game. I enjoyed the rest of the game without the sudden difficulty spikes. The two exceptions were mr shouty on the radio during the DLC, when you have the nerve to move through unauthorised cover and the fact that occasionally, enemies needed to be despatched in order, or not despatched at all, with little indication as to which. TL:DR Good enough, but with some reservations.

Один выстрел - один труп!
Хорошая игра, особенно если брать по скидке! Этакий Call of Duty, но с той лишь разницей, что большую часть игры вы бегаете со снайперской винтовкой. Другую часть игры, вы будете бегать с автоматом (без оптического, или хотя бы коллиматорного прицела), что немного усложняет игру, но и к этому быстро привыкаешь. ИИ врагов оставляет желает лучшего. Они видят, и слышат вас за километр, впрочем, это не отменяет того факта, что они те еще косоглазые болванчики, хотя если вы будете стоять долго на одном месте, то они все таки смогут в вас попасть. Также в некоторых миссиях врагов будет много, что слегка затрудняет прохождение. Сюжет у игры, какой-никакой, но есть, также есть миссии и ночью (что радует), но большую часть игры, вы все же будете бегать днем (еще есть смена погоды, а именно - дождь). В целом, игра не такая плохая, какой может показаться на первый взгляд. City Interactive молодцы (мне нравятся их игры, и я очень хотел бы, что бы в GOG появились их аркадные авиа-"симуляторы" - "Combat Wings: Battle of Pacific" и "Combat Wings: Battle of Britain"), но вот смена миссий (за снайпера/за солдата), явно не к месту, и немного раздражает, пару раз из-за этого, даже хотел бросить игру.

Fun little romp... if on sale.
I love stealth and sniper games. This is really an arcade shooter with Sniper in the title. It does have sniping, but in a limited sense. Biggest issue is that enemies are WAY too tuned into your location. There is no room for error. If you ever get seen, everyone will snap on to you instantly and you have little recourse but to do your best to mow everyone down, but more likely die. Graphics are as expected for the era, nothing great, but nothing I'm going through all the Sniper Ghost Warrior games at the moment, and this one is the least endearing so far (I'm currently midway through Ghost Warrior 3). But on sale for a couple bucks, it's an enticing 5 hours or so of gameplay.
