Absolute gorgeous game, only remark I have is that the DLCs aren't so well done comparably but then again they are DLCs. You have a lot of upgrades, a lot of cars and outfits to choose from, varying activities like karaoke, fight clubs, even chicken fights. Recommend this game to anyone, very fun and has the best combat system I've ever witnessed.

Excellent game
This game is fantastic. A rich crime setting as in GTA, but it also adds a deep main character and an improved combat system. I can't believe I waited this long to play it. Join us for a massage, brother, you won't regret it.

Worth the hype
As hyperbolic as the title may be, I think that Sleeping Dogs is one of the few open world games out there that may live up to the hype. Primarily due to a, not well-written but definitely strongly executed story. You've seen it about 1000 times before if you've ever watched a John Woo film. While it isn't particularly unique, it finds itself driven by a strong cast of characters performed by excellent actors that do exactly what they need to in this story. One of the lynchpins to Sleeping Dogs' success is its open world. Which is good because you're going to be driving around it a lot. There is no fast travel here which some may look as a negative but if you think about it, you're here for the journey, not the destination. Enjoy the ride. While there is a nice diversity of cars, you'll probably find yourself leaning towards the faster vehicles. Fortunately, most of them actually handle reasonably well, especially the motorbikes which allow for even more efficient travel across the map. My largest critique would likely be aimed towards the combat. While it serves as the primary driving force of gameplay here, the combat is probably the weakest aspect of Sleeping Dogs. There is a reasonably large variety of melee moves - and you will be using your fists for 90% of the runtime here - fights often find our hapless player mashing the punch button with the occasional counter and grapple thrown in to spice things up. Of course, the graphics probably are not what they used to be back in 2014, but if you're in the market for a game from 2014, something tells me that fidelity is not something you're particuarly worried about. That being said, it's probably not for everybody but I think that if you enjoy open world games, Hong Kong action flicks or Asian gangster movies, this will probably be up your alley. It is absolutely worth picking up, even at its regular price, but given how often it seems to go on discount, it's absolutely a bargain at any price on here.

Fun gameplay, memorable characters
A video game that is very unique. It's GTA but in China and this creates a brilliant atmosphere and some incredibly funny background dialogue. The game is centered on Kung Fu, and it is done very well. An interesting variety of enemies, that force you to use different approaches to combat. The story initially, is well written and characters are memorable so much so, that you begin to feel love/hatred for them. However, after the halfway point in the arc, the story goes out of the window, characters are brought in and out randomly and things become fantastical. The driving mechanics are really enjoyable. A truck feels slow, scooters are simple, race bikes and race cars are fast , and turn sharply which makes maintaining speed possible. In conclusion, a very fun game in a different cultural environment. It stays fun for the most part, until the end where the fighting mechanics being to show their repetitiveness and the story becomes wacky. However, compared to most of the games nowadays, this 13yr old game is a step up in quality.

A 5/5 Game
I am 9 hours into the game and in my opinion, I rate this game a solid 5/5. It has a pretty good story, fun gameplay, amazing combat mechanics, an interactive world. The game has a good and detailed setting which takes place in Hongkong. The game is fast paced which is a good thing and I have hardly faced any issues in starting or playing the game. I have heard many people facing issues when it comes to saving your progress in the game, To be honest for me, I Just go to the apartment and head to bed, and it will save your progress for you. But I have tuned off my cloud sync.
