Silent Hill 4: The Room

A great classic game by Konami. Thanks to Galaxy Go for providing this masterpiece.

I bought an 8 bit do ultimate specifically to play this game and it works on resident evil 1-3 and all other games but not here. Even if you add this as non steam game the controller just doesnt register to the game.

Even four years and several patches later, this port 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 lacks a proper fix for the game pad issues. Both sticks act like a pair of D-Pads which proves to be very cumbersome when trying to move and look around. The PS2 version is definitely not like this and I would really like for GOG to properly address it.

Konami we want the others too,SH is the best psicological horror game séries and need more respect for the fans ! Take responsability and take our money for real games of SH! The game have a good history about a murderer and we can put the pieces together to solve the mistery about Walter Sullivan, a name present since sh2,of course one of the most bizarre games of series.

First, I want to tell you about the merits of this game. Nice soundtrack. I love Akira Yamaoka, but in the previous parts, well, except for the first, the soundtrack is better. Good storyline, non-standard presentation and new mechanics. All is well, but now let's look at the other side of the coin. This is a crooked game that has a moderate amount of bugs and inconsistencies that are very annoying to the eye. The second problem is - very difficult game. And having in mind difficult, I do not mean that the riddles are difficult, but the passage itself is difficult, the enemies are difficult, and through bugs in the combat system it is even more difficult. Moreover, thinking that you are already near the final, you will be unpleasantly surprised that everything needs to go through the second round. This moment pissed me out the most and therefore I did not go through this game to the end. I hope this review was interesting for you.
