Only for a short fun
This game is good only for a short time it gets repetitive and boring. Its hard and its GLITCHY.

Cold War that leaves you cold
Sigma Theory is a game that I would like to like. It has some great ideas, but the execution is just too poor at times. As some others have pointed out, at it's core, ST:GCW is a board game on PC. You control four pieces and do various things with them around the board. But whereas random element might work in a board game setting, here it seems to just be always against the player. Even with tutorial enabled, the game also does not really explain the core mechanics well (thankfully there are some guides for this). Special mention for a quite buggy UX. Some hover-on menus take multiple tries to work correctly, the game crashed twice in a few hours, and I had to Alt+F4 from the game over screen as it just did not advance back to the main menu. As I got the game for free, I will not complain too much, but overall I can't really recommend this title.

Best Espionnage sim to date
A fascinating game that puts you in change of managing a team of secret agents as a new Signa technology appears to catch all the attention worldwide. This technology has multiple applications in different fields, such as Finance, Robotics, Health, etc. and your goverment needs to be on top of the global research. Send your agents to gather information about foreign scientists, or use hackers first. Once you've located the assets, investigate to know more about them, and what do they really crave. Are they corruptible? What is their sexual orientation? Maybe through seduction you can get them to work for you. Or just brutally organizing a kidnapping, though the subtle way is preferrable. Acting ruthlessly will have political repercussions, and you wouldn't start a war, would you? Also, as your agents are humans after all, some things can slip out of control very quickly... One of your agents falls in love with a source. Or your spouse gets kidnapped and a foreign country wants to acquire your research in exchange. What about if an exfiltration goes wrong and your agents gets captured? Will you recover your agent through diplomacy, or attempt a rescue mission? Overall, an immersive game with a strong emphasis on narration, a captivating theme and a lot of subtle random events that makes each playthrough slightly unique.

Strategy & Luck balance
It's tough, but I beat the classic mode after quite some tries. It's a challenging game, and the mechanics are a bit confusing at first. Sometimes the amount of new alerts per turn is going to be overwhelming and you are likely to let something critical slip by. It also involves a bit of luck not to strike midnight in the doomsday clock, since that depends on the other nations' choices too. There are a few bugs but none was a deal-breaker.
