Terrible Game Design
To be fair, the game is fairly loyal to the original movie in terms of characters, weapons, and the environment, but boy, does the game design terrible. Not only does the game crash if you don't alter the execution file compatible with Windows vista, the checkpoint mechanism is also terrible. If you die just before reaching the next checkpoint, you have to start all over and play through the entire checkpoint section again, no matter how tedious it might be. And if you learn a new skill after starting to play through a checkpoint section, the game doesn't save the learned skill, so you have to relearn it once you respawn. In addition to those, each time you pick up a new secondary weapon, it gets replaced with the impractical shotgun every time after you return to the police station. Devs: you already allowed us to have a secondary weapon (OCP shotgun) anyway, so why can't we have a bit of autonomy here and keep the weapon of our choice? How does it make sense that each time we pick up an alternative weapon, it gets changed back to OCP shotgun at the police station?
