One of the community's most requested games (or rather, set of games) has finally been fulfilled. Thank you, GOG, and thank you, Capcom! Since the beginning of my journey with digital gaming platforms, I have dreamed of owning Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3 on some kind of platform, and now I can. As someone who replays these classic Resident Evil games every year, I didn't hesitate to buy them right away. It's so great to be able to get them DRM-free! These games hold a special place in my heart <3

Finally, an easy & legal way for players to experience the classic RE Trilogy. Thank you GOG for pulling Capcom by the ears and finally bringing it to the fans! I bet by releasing it here it's going to reach a wider audience and the OG game disign will no longer be the boogeyman amongst the younger gamers and they will see for themselves how techical limitations bring out creativity. And the superiority of fun over realism. As for some ppl being dissapointed by this version: Lacking console content..? Um, it's a PC version? The legal battles GOG had to face locating the distributor of this version are no biggie..? Lacking mod content? Um, mods CHANGE the original game? The creators of the mods would have to be reached, to get their permission, and they would have to be foolproofed to ensure their viabilty? Since when a PC gaming platform has to offer console games with mods on top or else they're greedy grifters? For an ordinary fan these games are not avaliable at all! Emulation, Tortuga, or auctions starting at hundreds of $ untill yesterday, and you complain it's not Sourcenext?! Is somebody under the impression that Capcom wanted this to be made? They actively DESPISE their past, despite it being the only reason for their current positon on the market! And some people tell on themselves by not knowing that if you begin your first round with Jill, the game has a few neat tweaks for ya! But okay, don't pay, don't play. Free country, high infation an' all. Just don't be surprised that you'll get more "realistic" "reimaginings" for "modern audiences". Cast your vote, as I cast mine. For anyone that doesn't know this game - survival horror, zombies, liminal spaces, no cheap "dark is scary". GREAT pacing, every corner - an enemy or an item. Never lets you get bored. A "little" pixelated, I guess you won't see all the mud puddles in HD. Give it a try!

it is a re released game but i'm happy that they give those games some life again. some people here are really spoiled... be happy they give this. better this then nothing. i really enjoyed the game in the past and now. So if there are people that likes nostalgia, then i recommend these games. its really good. and don't listen to those spoiled brats. just have fun with it :)

Having a blast running around on Chris with the shotgun. Having a new official PC release of the original with controller and cloud saves support is amazing. Simple plug and play, can't wait to replay 2 and 3. The two new changes to this version is perfect: OPTIONAL DOOR SKIPS and FASTER RUNNING aaah soo good for those of us that have already played through this and want faster action. CONS: Having to restart the game a few times to get my contoller connect to the game, a minor annoyance. Would have hoped to have some GOG achievements while playing this. Other than that a high recommendation from me.
