Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut (расширенная версия) – самая полная версия классической головоломки с видом от первого лица, действительно заставляющей шевелить извилинами. Вам предстоит передвигать кубики с помощью высокотехнологичных перчаток. Одни задачки потребуют взаимодействия с предметами, вторые представляют собой трехмерные головоломки, третьи – задания в духе платформеров.
Действие Q.U.B.E. (Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion – «Быстрое освоение извлечения блоков») происходит в некоем стерильном помещении. В этой головоломке с видом от первого лица нужно совершать различные манипуляции с разноцветными кубами. В начале игры вас без всяких объяснений сбрасывают в белоснежную комнату, из которой нужно выбраться. Оригинальное звуковое сопровождение нагнетает атмосферу игры по мере того, как вы существенным или несущественным образом изменяете окружение и строите фантастические предположения о том, где находитесь. Экспериментируйте, делайте открытия и оставляйте позади кубические головоломки, для решения которых требуется логика, умение обращаться с предметами и навык прохождения платформеров.

If you like games with physics puzzles and interesting gameplay designs, this is your game, the story is also a nice adding comparing to the original, just be warned, the main problem with the story is that the dialogs don't have any subtithes and the voices tend to sound too low, which may cause trouble hearing it and even more trouble if you have any hearing difficulty.

Has Q.U.B.E: Director’s Cut met my expectations for atmospheric science fiction game with challenging puzzles to solve? It has unarguably many pluses - atmospheric story worth following, great level and puzzle design, easy to learn but hard to master concept, many new ideas driving your forward, challenging difficulty, responsive controls, nice looking graphics, atmospheric music and sounds and great fully-voiced narration. There are only a few downsides - the absence of tutorial for casual players, the environment is maybe too sterile, lack of new skills or light RPG elements and slippery feeling of platforms sometimes. There is no local multiplayer in the game but I can hardly complain about it here as it is a pure atmospheric single player experience. It is still suitable for family playing as there is no violence in the game and the game can develop your children’s ability of spatial thinking and also thinking forward. Plus you can show your little ones how the ideally cleaned room should look like by example of the game environment.

Q.U.B.E: Director’s cut is able to drag you in thanks to its interesting science fiction story, challenging puzzles and great level design that teases your curiosity about what comes next which naturally drives you forward. I can say that I have enjoyed this strong single player puzzling experience and I am therefore giving Q.U.B.E: Director’s Cut Thumbs Up and VideoGaming Father’s Index 8+ out of 10 - recommended!
It's not brilliant game but if you liked Portal you might enjoy this one. That is not to say it's on the same level as Portal, just similar vibe and after all it is a first person puzzle game. There is a story thrown in the players face but it's nothing special.
Single worst part about it is that it feels a bit sluggish at certain points. You may want to solve a puzzle in a particular way and you know it's possible if you are fast enough but the mechanics wont allow it because there is a cooldown time on your "portal gun" (it's not a portal gun but it works in a similar fashion, left click does one thing, right click does another)
This is a First-Person Puzzle game, but at the time of this writing, I haven't played Portal, so my review is going to be based on its own merits. With that out of the way, this makes its way from simple to complex, but does it gradually enough that you don't ever really get left behind, and there is no need for any real tutorial. There are cubes of several different colors, and each does something a bit differently. Most of their parameters are pretty easy to figure out, and they're introduced very well, so you actually are figuring things out. The actual puzzles are also often very thoughtful; they begin with simple objectives, like getting to the door, but later, you'll be sending balls through obstacle courses, mixing colors, and more. The actual puzzles take some effort to figure out, and you might have to experiment a little until you get it. My mind isn't wired for puzzle solving of this nature, but the game helped to develop that part of me, at least a little. There were only 2 puzzles that I really hated, and from what I've been reading, I'm not alone on at least one of them. It wasn't enough to ruin the experience, though; I'd still recommend this.
The visuals were very simple, but they did a good job not only creating an environment that was easy to understand, but also develop a bit of lore, even if you never learn much about it. The music and sound were decent; they did their job. There was a story, and while I didn't care all that much about it - I was in this for the puzzles - it did keep me guessing until the end, and most of my guesses were wrong, for whatever that's worth.
