It’s an oppressively brown shooter, but it still carries the speedy, lightweight combat that makes older FPS games still pop today. The changes that Nightdive brought in for the remaster make it even more enjoyable and accessible.

Not the full game.
Its a demo and if you have the full game you can play it all in RTX. I have the full game somewhere on CD but dont have a CD drive any more (*shock*)

Amazing Game, Craptastic Listing
They really need to update this listing. Sure, it's a free sampling of the first 3 levels, but both the title (RTX? Really?) and the link to the updated Quake II "Quad Damage" only go to make things confusing. By clearly describing this demo as that very thing, it would help and would follow current trends that consumers have learned to rely on. Quake RTX Demo would even be enough of a very simple change to help with this. Then, the fact that the RTX remaster of the full game doesn't share the title provided as a link in the description. They list it as "Quake RTX Quad Damage" in the listing details, but following the link creates an even more confusing issue. You're brought to the original listing of Quake II, but it's been quietly updated to include the RTX updates. Lastly, anyone owning the original Quake II are not made aware of this difference. Despite owning Quake II, they are encouraged to purchase the update (without any discount, warning or explanation for already owning the pre-update version). The whole thing comes off as a scammy disagreement between board members that are each looking to make the consumer pay even more without knowing why. The game is already 5 stars, without the need to add ray tracing. That only adds icing to the cake. But, when it's hid behind anti-consumer methods designed to not clearly explain WHY they want more money, it's drops it to a 1 star game in it's current version.
