Что случилось с людьми? Primordia рисует перед нами картину постапокалиптического мира, по которому разбросаны части старых механизмов. Мирному существованию Горацио Налбилта, главного героя этой истории, приходит конец, когда какой-то бродячий робот крадет его элемент питания – единственный источник энергии для самого Горацио и его корабля. Чтобы вернуть генератор, герой и его спутник Криспин должны покинуть свой идиллический дом и отправиться в Метрополь – город из стекла и света. Во время этого путешествия Горацио предстоит узнать неожиданную правду о собственном происхождении – и по-новому взглянуть на людей, которые жили на Земле до него.
Упор в головоломках делается на логическом мышлении и исследовании, а не на методе проб и ошибок или бессмысленных возвращениях туда, где вы уже были.
Удобный интерфейс и понятный для игроков дизайн сочетаются со сложностью головоломок и проработанностью мира, напоминающими классические игры.
Более 50 нарисованных вручную экранов для исследования, десятки неповторимых персонажей и роскошные сюжетные ролики способствуют погружению в игровой мир.
Despite the few pixels they used, the graphics in this game are a wonder to behold. The music is well suited to the palette they used.
The story does need some more interpretation on the gamer's part to really get the most of it (amazingly deep), but that just adds to the replay value. The voice acting is, perhaps, the weakest element. There's... little else to say, really. This game is made of awesome, period.
PLAY THIS GAME, or Crispin gets it!
The game has a great starting theme. Since I have a passion for religions and mythologies, I was immediately drawn into the game lore with its "Gospel of Man" that depicts humans are gods creators of machines before leaving the world. I loved how this theme brought interesting dialogues and debates, for example over the existence of Man, just like we in the real world discuss the existence of God.
The puzzles were nothing special, which means they were not very good but not bad either. I was more interested in the lore anyway. And the excellent voice acting was most welcome. However everything was ruined because of... the ending I got.
After some research I realized I obtained the shittiest ending. Some might say it is my fault, but really the requirements to obtain better endings can be tricky or overly inconspicuous. I was so disappointed, almost disgusted by the way the game ended that it cut any desire to try and obtain a better ending. In the end I watched everything on YouTube. And even then I found the better endings to be not that fulfilling.
I don't regret paying and playing game. The premise was really engaging and it was a nice albeit classical point 'n click entertainment with great voice acting and a few thought-provoking dialogues. I just wish the lore was exploited better, that is to say, I wish the thought-porovking dialogues were more than a few . As for the ending I obtained, it ruined everything for me but, well that's a matter of personal taste. At the end of the day, if this game looks interesting to you, I'd say give it a try, but don't be too sorry if for some reason you can't play it.
I love adventure games but only the ones with a great story. Primordia (as all games from Wadjet Eye Games) serves you unforgettable experience. The story, the graphics and of course superb voiceover with Abe Goldfarb as Crisp (Blackwell's Joey Mallone!!!) and Bastion narrator Logan Cunningham.
Sipmly a must have.
There were only two things that I did not like about this game:
* You cannot quit the credits (not even the second and following times).
* The main character's resolution is higher than the surrounding's when we moves further away.
Besides that, this is a very engaging adventure game. Things I liked a lot:
* Dystopian future; sarcastic and cynical comments in often brilliant dialogue.
* Rich backstory that slowly and naturally unfolds.
* Logical puzzles. Every puzzle can be solved by thinking, using knowledge about the world and a few clever trial-and-errors. No pixel-hunting or random object applications.
* Freedom of choice at the end.
* Nice drawn backgrounds and atmospheric soundtrack.
* Quick travel system and recording of the most critical information for later access are very convenient.
I would definitely recommend buying this game if you are at all interested into adventures and post-apocalypse.
