This game is like a painting — every scene could easily be framed. The music is excellent, and the story is quite engaging, even though there is no text or dialogue in the game. A word of criticism for the person who designed the musical puzzles — cool idea, but placing the hints where they were made it take much longer than it should have. The rest of the puzzles were enjoyable :)

Beautiful graphics, a cute companion, and… well, that’s about it. You spend most of the time running towards the right side of the screen—jumping, crawling, and then running some more. I wish there were more puzzles, MUCH more encounters with enemies or allies, or just something to break the monotony and make the game more engaging. It’s clear that a lot of time and effort went into making the game visually stunning and immersive, but if one key role was missing in development, it was the screenwriter or storyteller. And that alone takes away three stars from my review (which I honestly feel bad about). If you looking for some other options: I enjoyed Limbo and Inside far more.

Some games are an experience—more than just gameplay, they evoke emotions through their world, narrative, and music. I went in expecting a compelling puzzle-platformer, but discovering Furukawa’s music was an unexpected delight. Being a fan of games like Inside, Limbo, Little Nightmares, and Somerville, I was instantly drawn to Planet of Lana. It shares that same cinematic quality—where minimalistic storytelling, atmospheric visuals, and clever platforming mechanics come together seamlessly. The game doesn't spell everything out for you; instead, it trusts the player to soak in the environment, piece things together, and interpret the deeper story at their own pace. And that’s where Planet of Lana truly shines—its story isn’t just about a girl and her companion navigating a strange world. There’s a grander, more mysterious tale unfolding in the background, open to interpretation. It’s the kind of game that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll, much like Inside did for me. If you’re someone who loves atmospheric adventures, emotional soundscapes, and games that leave you with more questions than answers, Planet of Lana is a must-play. And if you haven’t already, give Takeshi Furukawa’s soundtrack a listen—it’s a journey in itself.
