the Gameplay is Terrible
Yes, the Gameplay is one of the worst I've seen. Just to clarify I know the age of the game and I am a big doom and wolfenstein fan. But while those games portrait the mood in the Gameplay, this ones is terrible, the graphics look dull and the level design is done with no passion to the craft of FPS. Now everything but the Gameplay is on point. You could make a movie out of the cutscene alone, I would watch that! The intro is great and the soundtrack as well, well unless you are in the game where there is no soundtrack. To me it looks like they wanted to do a point and click adventure but they where forced to do a first person shooter because it was hip at the time. But old shooter and western never really mixed that well together. If you ask me the a western fps is one of the things that really benefits from more advanced graphics like in "Call of Juarez - gunslinger". But even leaving that personal preference out the Gameplay still is abysmal. It is no rise of the triad it is not wacky nor atmospheric. It is just plain bad. So if you want my recommendation, leave this game and just watch the cutscenes on youtube because as I said, those where awesome!. And if you want to play a shooter, did you already play rise of the triad?

No music, no dice and bloatware to boot
Take a hike GOG, like any good piece of entertainment the music is half the show and it doesn't work here at all. It's why I bought the game and then was swindled into downloading your bloatware Galaxy application in order to play a piece of software that causes HARD crashes on my machine. it's 2024, if you are selling a piece of software that causes a hard crash, good luck. Asked for a refund within minutes when learning in order to make the music work you have to download an unofficial patch. Why download your version at all?! Goodnight and goodluck, this was my first purchase and my last. Steam alternative my tuchas.

This is not a shooting game
I bought this game to shoot outlaws. Well you can do that but... This is not a shooting game which you just shoot. I know that shooting games got some puzzles but here there are just too many of them. Expecially when then puzzles are not that easy to solve. And can get very very annoying. And what I have seen this game is also not completely bug free. That is why it only deserves two stars in my opinion.

👎 motion-sickness inducing vomit
Just like Dark Forces which uses a similar engine, the frame-rate causes motion-sickness. Also, this is another extremely annoying thing with Outlaws AND Dark Forces is that when it goes full-screen it changes the desktop window sizes of all opened windows and moves desktop icons about... and these changes are SAVED! So every time you open Explorer or other window Application you have to manually re-adjust the size. The game looked alright so I decided to give it a go. It's peculiar aiming; even though the gun is aiming straight and there's iron-sights, the crosshair doesn't align with ironsights. Pity. It's very easy to die so saving often is a good idea. Typical 'find the key/switch' maps which get excruciatingly tedious at times. For a 90s shooter it's not too bad --- IF it didn't make me feel like vomiting after playing it for more than 15 mins. Can't recommend it as it currently is. 1/5
