Mildy Interesting, Pervasively Boring
Even after all the necessary technical precautions, No Man's Sky still begins to chug unbearably after about 2 hours of gameplay, without fail, until a restart. When the going is smooth, which is most of the time, the game seems like a highly ambitious but only mildly interesting version of a Minecraft in space. The survival isn't as deep as I'd like it to be, and neither is the player-driven narrative. On that subject of narrative, there isn't much of a story, and the bits that are eked out to you should you choose to follow the story aren't presented soon enough or with enough impact. I still remember my first space anomaly and black hole fondly but they were both little more than a subdued dialogue and a flashy fast travel sequence, respectively. Most things about this game, particularly the combat, mining, and inventory management/crafting don't feel as good as they should. After putting in over 10 hours before writing this, the only hooks that keep me coming back are the very rare instances of cool planets or neat looking ships. But those planets are still largely following a rote formula and the ships are rarely much better than the one I bought a few hours into the game. I keep playing this game with podcasts on while I wonder why I'm playing it at all.

Starbound in 3D
1. Starbound argument The gameplay feels exacty like starbound, you get a star system where you have 1-5 planets/moons. Each can have some conditions which make it harder to survive like acid/cold/heat/radiation. Consider if you want to pay additional 30-40 Eur (or something like that) for additional domension. 2. Randomized worlds criticism While the universe is supposedly large, the randomization algorithm is bad. Want to know how it feels like? Print two white noise waveforms and compare them, they will be different from another, but when you look at them from afar, you see the pattern (or lack of thereof) - its just random scribble. There are no rivers, mountains, or anything. The land is just an effing white noise, there's no sense or logic to it! If you still dont know what i mean, play Dwarf Fortress, generate a world and explore it. You will see how much NMS is lacking. 3. Bugs Bugs that i noticed: game stuttering, being unable to change graphical settings when in full window, this https://s3.postimg.org/5d004aybn/NMS_WTF.png i.e. broken respawn points. 4. Summary. I would recommend this game if it was below 20 Eur (far, far below 20). However the quality/price ratio at this moment is laughable.

Greaaat game, baaad optimization
The game itself has a self autogenerating missions ( kinda boring after your 30 planet ), almost all the missions are the same, greaaat ideea of unlimited action to do, you can go where u want and do almost what u want, on any planet or universe but after 4-5 hrs of c gameplay the game is almost unplayable.. from around 20-25 fps it gets to 1-2 fps. exit the game and you have it again the "normal" framerate this game should be great if devs solves the issues adressed by players. I did not bought the game and for the requested price vs the quality of it... remains to be seen in the future

Too simplistic mechanics
The game at first looks beautiful, but resources always look the same in every single planet. Zinc is always gonna be the same yellow plant, the caves always look the same, and the flora just have a slight change in color...in an exploration game, this is kind of a big deal. I'm not gonna focus on the hype or the price...i'm gonna forget how much i paid for this, because it doesnt matter if you pay lots of money for a game if it is good. This game, sadly, it is not. Flight mechanics are simplistic, but you won't spend a lot of time in it. The real game is about finding resources on the planets. The thing is...surviving on planets is not dangerous at all. I got messages saying a storm is coming, or that night temperatures are rising etc... but it does not suppose any problem or harm to my character, that keeps walking as if nothing happens. No need to look for cover, animals pose no danger, no threats. Now, as a chill game that would be good, but as i said, planets are extremelly repetitive after the first 4 or 5 planets you visit, so there is not much to do but the same boring grind for "jump fuel" over and over. I am a scy-fy lover, and i, sadly, do not recommend this game :(
