Myst Masterpiece Edition

Amazing classic point click adventure game that can you can easily get stuck on. Controlled entirely by your mouse. There is a help system which will adjust the amount of detail it gives based on how many times you click on it. If your very stuck it will walk you right through the puzzle. This game has a way of making you want to come back for more, just be aware of that and enjoy!

Without question, Myst and its sequels are above and beyond my favorites. The worlds you explore are highly imaginative, and the story lines captivating. If hack-and-slash is your thing, you'll be disappointed; your brain is what unlocks this game. The music is a key component to these games; this is the only game series that I leave the background music on, and put on high-quality headphones to play. It really draws you in!

...but I cannot play on Windows 8! It really stinks, but hey, I got realMYST to work! So I suppose I still get to play the game, in a way. (There's a post in the GOG Myst forum asking for help in this issue. If you can help, post there!)

This is the quintessential first person point and click adventure game. The graphics were amazing, and still hold up. The puzzles are fun, challenging but not extremely difficult. The only better game of this genre is the sequel Riven.
