Love this game Also now upto date

Hi guys I must addmit I been put off due to the fact that it was behide steam now as of November 2020 it now caught up. I beileve GOG is about 2/3 months behide on updates from STEAM and yes the extra DLC isnt on gog however this is just small thing in the grand scheme of things as this was exclusive to STEAM. Anyway now thats address on tot he game what can I say it amazing. I love it spent more then 50+ Hours there so much to see and do. Also the NPCS feel like they have some depth to them they all want to enjoy time with you and the one you cxan marry you really date for example go out for meal or chat and there friends in turn become your friends. It hard to start with but becomes eaiser over time I wish I had bit more info at the start but this minor gripe. As stated yes this was behide Steam by about 3 months but as of now is totally caught up and with the next game due out next year well the future looks bright as I say lots of fun lot replay value just basicly amazing game I got it in the sale for £10 totally worth it if you like the old Harvest Moon or Stardrew valley then you love this:)

Still early access

Still a plethora of bugs and glitches. Developers have stated that they don't consider GoG important enough to update. DLC & Updates on GoG are significantly delayed, and some are just missing. Decent game for early access, its a pity they don't seem to communicate very well.

A Review & Clearing Some Things Up

TL;DR: Really love this game, and the publishers are working very hard to fix the update issue that may or may not exist by the time you read this. Even with slow updates, I still recommend this game. Review & Clarification I want to start this by saying the game is surprisingly addictive. I've almost played 20 hours in just a few days. I'm just really enjoying it. While it is a life sim, and does have (somewhat shallow) farming, the real focus is usually crafting. There's a real feeling of progression as you move through the game, and while it sometimes feels repetitive, it still manages to be very fun. As many other people have said, the game can be somewhat unpolished feeling, but this is (sort of) being quickly fixed. I say "sort of" because, at the time of this review, the game is getting its patches and updates much more slowly than Steam and other storefronts. But unlike what people seem to think, this isn't because the developer/publisher doesn't care. Typically, when a developer wants to update a game, they use a method that pushes the update very quickly to Galaxy users, with GOG creating an offline installer in the next few days. This isn't what Pathea Games is doing. For whatever reason, Pathea is using the alternative method. This (from my understanding) is where the devs send the update to GOG, and GOG then creates both the offline installer and pushes the update to Galaxy users themselves. This is pretty bad, because there's a fairly long delay even with Galaxy, but I really don't think Pathea is trying to treat GOG users like second-class citizens or anything like that. Is it frustrating? Yes. But the game is hardly broken or buggy enough to be getting the 1 star reviews that it has been getting for this. Not to mention giving 1 star reviews for updates is hardly reviewing the game, especially because what's currently there is genuinely enjoyable. That being said, if this is going to bother you, you might want to wait until the problem is fixed.

Fun and addictive Harvest Moon-like game

Even if it had bit of a rough start, this game is definitely worth checking out. Especially when you're familiar with games like Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing, you'll find yourself at home. Even if not, this is a good one to jump into the genre. It sure does involve lots of grinding at some point, but it's still fun. And of course there's more to it than just chopping down wood and crafting things. The world and the characters are interesting and the relationship system is solid, making it fun and rewarding. RPG elements round off the whole experience. TL;DR: Ignore the 1 star reviews about the update delays. The essential updates are now live anyway, so there's no point in that. Just buy this lovely game and get started!

Excellent game!

I've bought and played this game on Steam when it was on Early Access, and it's actually a fun and addictive game! The game is like Stardew Valley, but set in a 3D world, and instead of a farmer (although this game has the ability to raise animals and grow crops), you play the role of a builder. Sure, it's not perfect, as there are some things that needs improvement (including the voice acting, as not every line that the citizens of Portia says has voice acting, among a few other things), but the final game had just launched three days ago. If you love games like Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, you'll love My Time at Portia!
