Great Football game.
This is a great fantasy American Football game, harking back to the old 1993 Sega Mega Drive / Genesis title, and they even got the announcer from the old Midway NFL Blitz games. Be aware that this is a mature, uncensored game, so there is a lot of gore and the commentators will drop the F-bomb a lot. Please bare this in mind before letting younger gamers play it. Werewolves in tight pants ftw!

Great arcade american football game
This is a funny, completely ridiculous, over-the-top arcade game. If you liked the early madden games you might enjoy this one as well. In contrast to another reviewer I actually also enjoyed the comments of the moderators. They are absolutely nuts, of course, and some really made me smile. They might get repetitive after a while but this is also true for all the Madden NFL games. So far, I only played the dynasty mode as single player and I like that the team management is suprisingly easy and doesn't stand in your way if you don't really know what each position means. This makes it rather easy to start with even if you are not too familiar with all the details of american football, There is even a small tutorial which explains the most basic rules of the game but I guess it isn't enough if you are completely new to the sport. For people who played other football games before, it might be a little confusing at first when your players die on the field after a lightning strike and all the players attack each other after the play, but after you understand the mechanics it really is hilarious and fun. The graphics and animations are good, although not as polished as other modern sport games. I played with keyboard and gamepad and both controls worked. It is certainly easier with gamepad but it also works fine without it. All in all, if you are a little bit into sport games and don't mind gore and some juvenile and silly humour, this game is a nice arcade game to kill some time.

Even better than the original...
I know the nostalgia is high on such titles but believe me when i say this game is even more fun than the original. I still have my original genesis cart but this one has surpassed it, thanks to the many tweaks and additions that have been made to the game. I have been playing it since the alpha since i was a backer on kickstarter and helped shape those updates and while it was already fun right at the start of alpha, the game has evolved into a well polished gem of an arcade game. The dynasty mode seems really inspired by Speedball 2's league mode and has that same "build a team of winners from a low end one" spirit. You start very underpowered and will lose at first but if you focus on improving and getting your guys some xp, then you will be fine. Overall (tl;dr): The game is really fun and there are plenty of options for you to tweak the settings to your liking. If you like arcade games with fast gameplay and gore or games like Blood Bowl (in real time) or Rocket League, you'll love this. The anouncer is great, unlike what some might have said, and has more varied lines than in Madden or Blood Bowl. And graphics are pretty damn great for such a small team, imo. With everything set to full, the game looks good.

Fun but can be repetitious.
I am able to run this game fairly well with optimum game settings on my Intel i5-8400T CPU using Intel UHD-630 2Gb memory integrated graphics, Windows 10 and 12Gb 2666mHz system memory. MFL is a fun game but can become somewhat repetitious. You can play quick single games, seasonal, playoff series, dynasty mode and online head-to-head games. Your wins come pretty easy at Rookie difficulty level against the AI. At Normal difficulty it becomes more challening, especially against much higher ranked teams. Dynasty-mode allows you ongoind development one chosed team while playing consecutive seasons. D-mode will allow recruiting of free agents (1 to 3) and making league trades (just one) between games and up to halfway through your season. MFL season and dynasty modes also allow you to develop your existing team players with individual earned XP points, arrange players in your depth chart and make in-game temporary player substitutions. If you purchase the add-on MFL packs then Rookie level is a good choice to open those locked teams in Dynasty-mode using the team specified that unlocks them. Overall, I like MFL Dynasty. The voice commentary is rather limited and recurring but amusing. Perhaps the deveopers will consider making an expansion pack for added voice commentary. I'd really love for the developers to create more team customization options to the game. Regardless... If you love football, tongue-in-cheek humor, inappropriate language and subject matter, savage beat-downs and a little life-expring field terrain you'll probably enjoy this game. Perhaps our "realworld" football league could take some lessons from MFL. Sure would make our Sundays a lot more interesting.
