Pointless release
Sad to see that they are using bad emulated CGA graphics, the game was designed to use CGA over composite, thus would have more than 4 colors. Better to play C64 version, better music and graphics.

Good for nostalgia/simplicity
I just loaded this up and took it for a test run. Ages ago, I played this on the C64 and the Apple IIe. This version is faithful to the original, as it is the original DOS version running under DOSBOX. It's good for nostalgia, and for simplicity if you really don't want to fuss with emulators or the DOS Archives, but it's exactly the same game. Sound, graphics, controls, all work fine. Alt+enter brought the full screen down to a window where I could play it while having other windows open on my W10 PC. The price seems a bit high though, even for a new release. I'd wait till the price was below a dollar.

Worth paying for, but not this version
I would absolutely pay for a copy of the C64 version made to work easily on Windows. This version (I'm assuming DOS) is just hideous. The game itself is an all-time classic. It's basically a board game, but one of the best ever made.

M.U.L.E. has evolved too
I get the general trends towards nostalgia, but by now there are better, more modern alternatives available (such as Planet MULE). Check them out instead.

an archaeological blowoff - playable
I was stunned to find the long lost believed version of MULE for the IBM PCjr on gog.com, and I am grateful they adapted it to DOSBox. Thank you! As a long term fan of the game, I felt zoomed back to the early 1980s and closed a knowledge gap I have never believed I would. I have instantly reunited some of my old mates and we really enjoyed playing and discussing it. This game is a must-have to all devoted fans. But then... if your archaeological interest isn't that distinct and you rather play games with more than four colours and sound from something better than a mono voiced PC beeper, go and get the Atari or Commodore version, or even play it on Planet MULE. I mean, why play football on broken concrete in a backyard when you could play it in an air-conditioned stadium with perfect lawn and underfloor heating?
