Not sarmatism you're looking for.
Review based off PC DVD copy. When I saw this title, it's promotional screens and supposed storycast, I couldn't help but get it. Based on famous "With Fire and Sword" trilogy, it said. With firearms and stuff, and still Mount&Blade. After a long while, I know it's neither Fire, nor sword, nor M&B. Let's start with the universe. You have the map of Europe. Well, at least part of it. Five nations, with Poland and Lithuana Commonwealth, Swedish Empire, or Crimea khanate, for example. Now, I understand the limitations, but you distinguish cities by one or two buildings that other don't have. Take them, and they all look the same. That's how you can tell Moscow from Warsaw or Krakow, they don't have Great Orthodox Church in the middle. And Sarmats (polish nobles) are thin and slim, while we all know they were a synnonym for gluttony. Firearms. Aiming is almost impossible. Why to bother to get the three pointers to the centre, while still you will miss? Why even bother with adding the crosshair. Seriously. You can't hit anything with firearms, it's only meaning is to give it to a lot of troops and drown adversaries under the hail of lead. Unless they will be first to do that. The bullet of course will penetrate through everything, so there is no point in hiding behind a shield. Generally, later in-game there is no point in wearing an armor, since troops will rifles will kill you anyway. Not sure if due to bug, for support and devs are silent over this. Overall, I don't reccomend. If you really like XVII century, get warband, or classic M&B, and search for mods. They are free. And are far better.
