Addictive run and gun

Like all roguelikes, this one hooks you to rerun multiple times to get a good item set. I also like the weapon upgrade system with mods. Add Systemshock graphics plus weird mutants and you got a nice timekiller. I did get stuck couple of times in the graphics so hopefully that does not happen too often. Challenge stages can a bit annoying as it is mostly timed jumps and at least for me the jump does not feel consistent.

Has/had potential

Movement is nice and flows well. The problem lies in the stamina meter and the fact that swinging your tiny sword once takes 15% of it. Jumping takes another not insignificant %. It is like our hero has COPD and needs a portable oxygen tank. Couple that with the weak sauce pistol and your recipe is not rising. I really don't like the alien doors that you have to tank on the chin most of the time for the remote possibility of a reward. Occasionally there is a handy barrel around but not often.

An ok rogue-lite

This game is fine. The rogue-lite approach with multiple episodes with different paths is a great idea. You can pick a path based on your state and fix potential issues of the build. The issue is the combat. Combat is slow and sluggish. It's difficult to explain but it feels only half good. Some guns are bad to use, jumping sucks, sometimes you don't get audio feedback for what happens (e.g. in the cyber rooms when you die), sometimes the screen is covered with particles even if nothing happened, you need to "gamble" to find secrets instead of being skill-based, progress is as minimal as it can be most of the time so what's the point... The issue is that, given the repetitive nature of the game, the bad parts will pop up constantly. On top of that, the story is not that interesting and the enemies are as cliche as they can be. TL;DR; Moros Protocol is an ok fps rogue-lite. I can recommend it specifically to people that want more fps rogue-lite like myself.

Doom meets rogue-like

This game is such a gem, the art style is amazing, the soundtrack is neat. The levels chambers are smallish but packed with enough action, it's fun to think about your route. you've got mutators for your weapons and armor... So far it's a great game!
