Explore the chambers of the mysterious Aztec pyramid! Climb the stairs and ropes, collect keys to open doors! Collect the jewels & swords, and the coveted torch! Beware of the snakes, skulls and spiders! And finally, find the treasure room at the end of the underground labyrinth! 

It has all the original key features of the original Atari classic plus a number of interesting new improvements. Including a modern mode with all new graphics and audio!

Needs work.

Initial release is quite buggy. Start-up triggers a game-ending AMD driver crash if GOG Galaxy is left running when game starts. Game gets stuck when asking if you want to post a score to GOG (controller buttons stop working on that screen, making it impossible to select yes OR no. Second tier maps are all entirely black; only wandering enemies are visible (might be an intentional "challenge" - if so, it's stupidly annoying, and needs to go away). And now, since GOG is operated by bone-heads, I'll never be able to update this review, when/if the developer actually corrects these issues. Congratulations!

Tough and fun

This game (well, the original one) is one of my oldest gaming memories, and one of those games I enjoyed even though it has always been SUPER tough (I might have been 8 or 9 when I played it). It still is tough, and the small enhancements (graphics, the ability to save) make it appealing to modern audiences. Some reviews mention game-crashing bugs; as of this writing, I only experienced one bug, when you die and the game asks you to post your high score; if you say NO, the game just stays there and you can't go back to the main screen, you have to Alt+F4 it. Now excuse me, I need to return to the temple and feel like a kid again...

Great update to a classic

I played the original on my 800xl back in the 80's. This plays so well with the retro graphics and music etc. The newer graphics are good too, but I love the pixelated retro a lot.

No stamping Montezuma be aware.

I hoped that I would finally finish stamping Montezuma but this is Preliminary Monty remake not Montezuma's Revenge! Overall nice remake but I wouldn't buy it if I knew.
