Similar to the way Batman: Arkham City built on the foundation of Arkham Asylum, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is bigger and more ambitious in scope than Shadow of Mordor, with great results. The way it expands the Nemesis system with far greater variety and fortress sieges makes even better use of the stand-out generated characters, and its battles with memorable uruk captains remain challenging all the way through the campaign and into the clever asynchronous multiplayer beyond.

Very good but somewhat repetitive
The action is superb and the history very interesting, but it is somewhat repetitive, meaning that we must grind a lot to advance.

A solid and deserving sequel!
Pros: Nemesis system is perfected Customizable inventory and special weapon abilities (not in the orignial) Very fleshed out story when comparing it to the original game Larger areas to explore resulting in a better playing experience... get on a caragor and ride, buddy! 10/10 Cons: Less realistic and gritty, which sold me on Shadow of Mordor. What I mean by that is the fact that there are less satisfying sounds when stealthing, less organic killing animations, more humanoid orcs and less relliance on your own skills and more of a "Help me followers" mentallity. Just a small complaint. Final rating: 9/10 (5 stars)
