Similar to the way Batman: Arkham City built on the foundation of Arkham Asylum, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is bigger and more ambitious in scope than Shadow of Mordor, with great results. The way it expands the Nemesis system with far greater variety and fortress sieges makes even better use of the stand-out generated characters, and its battles with memorable uruk captains remain challenging all the way through the campaign and into the clever asynchronous multiplayer beyond.

Middle-earth masterpiece
I don't know how canon the story is, but it's a GREAT game. It's super dynamic, and the nemesis system is something everyone should try.

It can be a bit repetitive but combat is fun and the story is so cool. Graphics are good and performance is well optimized.

one of my favourite games of all
the nemesis system is the most immersive and and fun concept that was perfectly executed (wish it was in more games tbh) and the fighting mechanic is just so flowy that you can practically feel all of the momentum in the battles a rare 10/10 game for me had to replay it

Like POP 4 2020
Like Prince of Persia for 2020 without the magical sands and time. Still a great revisited play in 2025 and quality is great for its age on win11 with 4080. Good story and combat with progress without being complicated or too intense.
