Meh Dat Slug X

Overal its a good port with lot of valuable options (resolutions, online and ranking), Be aware that the game is Metal Slug 2 revisited. Great feels with an arcade stick. So close of 5 stars because in some moments (full throwing of grenade, high range gun, lot of ennemies) there is some ... drop of frame per seconds (around 20-30 fps ?). Kinda shame when you consider that this is a game who needs all of your skills and the port makes those moments "bullet timish".

The best/ worse version of Metal Slug 2!

Basically, Metal Slug X is the technical best version of the second entry of the saga , but also (and that's my opinion) a little less... impactful, compared to Metal Slug 2 (where things in the saga will start to get ''weird'', which is a good thing and gave the slug instalments something very unique compared to other peers of the genre). Plus, this version offers net play and leader board score, if that's your sort of thing! Soooooo... yes! absolutely worth it!

Замечательный оригинал и ужасное издание

Играл на многих платформах, но настолько ужасного и нестабильного порта не видел никогда. FPS проседает жутко на хорошем железе, настройки графики не спасают, управление такое же дерганое. С болью прошел по старой памяти кампанию, и понимаю что таким релизом классику попросту опозорили. Советую лучше поиграть на эмуляторе. Рефанд не оформляю из уважения к разработчикам и GOG, но так с классикой обращаться попросту нельзя. P.S. Мои лучи ненависти DotEmu.

‘Metal Slug’ gets more outlandish

I loved the cartoony groundedness of ‘Metal Slug’, so when ‘Metal Slug 2’/’Metal Slug X’ introduced supernatural and science fiction elements, I was a bit apprehensive at first. But, the more I played it, the more I appreciated the weird, outlandish, and wild direction SNK decided to take it. Suddenly, ‘Metal Slug’ had become the cartoony, funnier version of ‘Contra’ and I loved it. Being able to ride a cannon-mounted camel and fly a jet fighter also made me squeal with glee as I brought on the mayhem. Seeing your character get fat from consuming too much food items was just hilarious. ‘Metal Slug X’ embodies pure video gaming joy and creativity, and I highly recommend it!

net play + leaderboards = ❤️

Like it. It is kind of tricky to get working right without preformence drop. All you have to do is set up your resolution - set it high if you wish play sceenwide or set it low if you want to play among other apps. Do not turn full screen feature when you have set full hd res because THAT will cause preformence drop. Other than that - it is fantastic. I will ask my friends to play Metal Slug X with me, I will gift them this game. Net play is enjoyment in itself - as you might know of it.
