The best of first 3 games
This is for sure the best of the first game of the saga. Graphic, sound, weapons, crossroads and final boss, all of them top-notch. Don´t miss it. My score: 9.0

DotEmu strikes again
Finally decided to give this official releases a shot. And, well - it's bad. I mean, it does have better menu, online multiplayer and actual settings compared to MS Collection, which is to clunky for modern pc. But somehow they made it run even worse than on actual emulators, like Final Burn. Slowdowns are abysmal and it seems sound sometimes desyncs. I know that slowdowns are MS's mainstays, but come on, it's worse than playstation releases way back. As for the game itself: by the time last mission was finally over (it's like half the game in length) I was so done with this game. Missions 1 and 2 are pretty cool, then it drops down for 3 and 4, and mission 5 is really cool, but too damn long and hard.

A lot unfair moments
To begin with this game was designed to squize your pockets dry in the arcades, so be prepared that you'll get a lot unfair moments, but never the less the game is good for 1-2 evenings, but there is some performance issues.

I'm not going to tell you abot poor performance of the game. The only thing I should tell you is that this game is awesome! The first part of the anthology is a pure adrenaline. The second one gives it more. If SNK made the same trick with the third part it would be just a decent game. So they found the nearest drug dealer and bought all of his weed. Soldiers? BORING! All you need is UFO, zombies, crazy bosses. No, I mean CRAZY BOSSES! The base of this game is your interest. All you do is just playing to know, how far game designers can go. And believe me, you'll be surprised! Ah, and don't forget to take your friends, because it's still fun to play!

Low point of the series
Great graphics but over-wrought game, too self referrential and simply too damn hard. The only Metal Slug you need is #2.
