Master of Magic is a combination of an RPG and a strategy game, a remake of a classic from the 90s.

In Master of Magic you take up the role of one of 14 unique and diverse great wizards who compete with each other to dominate the worlds of Arcanus and Myrror. Choose from different schools of magic and fantasy races to command, then lead your minions and expand your influence and power across the land.

Recruit and command mighty armies of elves, dragons, dwarves, orcs and many more. Support them with powerful spells. Fight tactical turn-based battles and affect the outcome with your magic.

Research new spells, engage in alchemy, perform rituals and use your arcane powers to change the world around you. Always beware of the machinations of your rival wizards, who seek to reach your same goals. But in the end, remember: there can be only one Master of Magic.

A fun wander down memory lane.

I loved the 90s Master of Magic and this is very much a recreation of that.

Far too time consuming for me.

Maybe it's just me, right? But I put this on easy, 3 other bots. Myrror start. I'm almost 400 turns in and I still haven't even gotten to the other Plane, let alone that the Spell of Mastery is looking like it's gonna take around 300 EXTRA turns to just RESEARCH.

Great Remaster+

It is a great remaster of the OG and has a better AI now. So difficult is a real challenge compared to the OG. From my experience of turn based games like this that it is one of the best.

Faithful remake

It does adhere to the original game which is a very good thing. It looks great and so far runs fine. My main grip though is the lack of edge scrolling, to have to do additional inputs to just navigate the screen is ridiculous for today's games.
