Play this game DAILY still, and I've had it since release. Like original release... You do the math. MP even works with things like tunngle.

Уникальная стратегия
Как-то в своё время пропустил эту игру, хотя Сеттлеры зацепили. В общем, если нравятся Сеттлеры, то эта игра тоже должна понравится, хотя поначалу кажется, что она попроще (на самом деле нет). Вы просто строите здания, нанимаете героев (которые исполняют роль войск), и в общем-то всё. Герои и сопутствующие юниты обладают собственным интеллектом и всё делают сами. Единственное, чем можно повлиять на их поведение - ставить награды за врагов и их здания, либо награды за исследование местности. Потраченные на награды деньги герои вернут лихвой, покупая у вас же оружие или нужное обмундирование. Такого казалось бы скудного управления достаточно, чтобы увлечь и держать в напряжении на более сложных миссиях. Единственный ресурс в игре - деньги, и ими надо распоряжаться очень аккуратно. Графика, конечно, малость устарела, но поскольку она не полигонная, то выглядит по-прежнему неплохо. Игра ставится и работает на Linux с помощью wine. Вердикт - за 50 руб (на распродаже) это просто must have для любителя (экономических) стратегий.

One of my favorite games of all time!
Majesty is a game with a simple-to-medium complexity level, unique premise, and well rounded difficulty. But forget all that for a second - Majesty is a game with utterly stunning presentation. The isometric art, drawn portraits, cute models, classic fantasy monsters and classes all look amazing. Accompanied is a bevy of unique and perfectly fitting sound effects for everything, top-notch voice acting from the narrator and heroes, and a soundtrack that is absolutely catching. Seriously, go listen to the Majesty Main Theme on YouTube. It's worth it. To the playability, the game has two full campaigns of non-sequitur levels which all feel right and require new amounts of strategy per goal. Most have limits and challenges that require different planning - sometimes a skeleton army is your best choice, other times powerful markets are needed, others need fewer, stronger heroes. The absolute hardest missions are purposely RNG-unfair, but everything else is balanced that you can succeed with the right approach. Beyond that there's a level generator for endless replay, a multiplayer with features you won't find in single-player, and a (very limited) mod support which you can find on Steam community page for extra fun. There's also a collection of cheat codes for fun effects - including enemy wave cheats for more challenge. This game is possibly my favorite ever. I've returned to it time and time again across a dozen computers and nearly three decades. It's beyond good, especially this HD rerelease from years ago which is the perfect example of how to do it: all expansions, add the downloaded quests from the dead website, make compatible with all newer OS, and leave the rest untouched. Aside from the fact that this game is totally worth it, it's almost always on sale. Seriously, for three dollars you can have a budget coffee or decades of game value. I only reviewed this in 2022 because I never considered others haven't played it yet. So buy this game!

A majest..ic Experience!
Majesty is a game that paved a new way to conceptualize the management genre (although, unfortunately, not many have followed). Yup, that's right. It's not really an RTS game: all you do is build and set bounties for the heroes of your realm to collect, and let me tell you that this game is one of the most fun and difficult experience I've have ever played. Set in a fantasy world, you'll be the king and it's your job to be the ''quest giver'' of other's heroic journey, and for that alone this game is.. well.. gold ( pun intended). Again, you'll lack direct control over your heroes, but you'll be handling the economy and the strategy of your kingdom: setting up shops and guilds, where your unit will go buying whatever they need to complete their adventure ( I was also mesmerized by the ability to check, in real time, what they heroes learned or brought in their inventory). On top of that, this majestic ( sorry) piece will keep you wanting for more: the mission can be clear within an hour, but some of them ( actually, most of them) are difficult, and yet you'll do them again and again, slowly ascending through its difficult curve to finally master it. Indeed, Majesty is one of those game, addicting and challenging, but at the same time never tiresome or boring ( just frustrating in some mission, I must admit). So, worth buying? YES. As an old PC glory and a masterpiece from the past, its graphics, tone and overall unique gameplay have withstood the test of time and still to this day it's truly a ...majestic experiece!

Fun
If you ever just wanted to have fun then this is the game for you. Many reviewers mistake this game for a RTS game. There are a number of maps with specific quests that you can play but at the heart of this game is a simulation game. Go to the free style option, select difficulty and build your little kingdom. Try different combos of creatures and just watch them go. There is a reward flag system if you want to play the scripted maps but it is pretty unnecessary in the free map. Certain heroes will automatically perform certain actions. Rangers will explore, Paladins will fight monsters, Krypta will convert undead and healers will heal. It's a fun game.
