King kidding me? After all the troubleshooting to get this to work, I'm then faced with a RACING mission that's a MAIN MISSION!? For a game with atrocious vehicle gameplay, to make the 5th mission, or rather ANY MAIN mission (or any mission imo), centered around RACING, NOT EVEN DRIVING, IS INSANE. I'd rather take a taxi mission driving at half the speed limit while obeying all laws across the entire map than boot this game up again. I'd rather feed myself to fish with cement shoes on than finish this poorly designed game, in my humble opinion.

A worthy remake of an epic game

Mafia : The City of Lost Heaven was a huge part of my childhood. I played that game thousands of times and I still play it when I have the time. The original has it's unique charm, atmosphere, music, story and set of characters. No game can match the epicness of that game. Mafia : Definitive Edition is a great remake of the original. First of all, the remake is more user friendly to the new generations of players. The original isn't attractive to people nowadays because of the graphics and the gameplay. Personally, I still think that the 2002 version looks beautiful today and the gameplay feels good (compared to other old games that aged really bad). The story is the same, there are some changes here and there. The remake's main idea is that family is important, where the original's was that no matter what, you have to live with the consequences of your decisions (which was more Mafia-ish if you ask me but still, the family motive is great). The atmoshpere is perfect. The developers made me feel like I was a part of the game and of that era (the 30's). I am glad that they added a radio to the cars and we can listen to more music. It's a pity that the team could not get the licence for most of the songs from the original but still you can recognise one particular song ;) ) The characters are the ones we love. I am glad that they added more Sarah scenes and we saw her interact more with Tommy. The gameplay : nothing to complain about. It is great and the game moves really smooth. What can I say ? New players, play this game, it will be quite a ride. Original game's fans : play this game, you won't regret it. Hangar 13, thank you for this remake !

A really good gangster movie

Just finished the campaign. I'm not a veteran of the old game and for me the game was really good. The story was superbly paced and my cudos to the animation team making the cutscenes quite brilliant. It's all quite believable and had me really hooked. The voice acting was totally fine to really, really good. Combat is a bit stiff, but I makes a lot of sense for the player because you're not a specops Übersoldat, you're a thug, a thug wearing a suit but a thug nontheless. If you want a good gangster game, this one is certainly worth your time.
