Truly fantastic

It never ceases to amaze me just how creative Rem Michalski is - he really knows how to make the player connect to the characters and situations in his games, particularly so in The Cat Lady and Lorelai. I'm not really sure how much I should say about Lorelai as I'm wary of giving any spoilers, suffice to say that this game deserves to be a huge success - I'd shower it with awards if I could. Just buy it.

More of the same

Enjoyed The cat lady, then downfall. For $14.99, This felt like somebody wanted to make a quick buck. I felt like I was playing downfall, then all of a sudden it ended. Way too short, was my main complaint though. Felt ripped off.

.. the makers of Cat Lady?

I did not need to see a baby getting thrown on the floor, no matter the fact that this is in no way a realistic looking game. I am genuinely surprised that this is from the same people that gave us the Cat Lady. I have not played far and I will probably not play any more chapters, since what I have seen so far is so terrifingly tone deaf. The most helpful review here claims that the person making these "is doing it for the fans", wich I guess has resulted in a very blind following that will accept way more than they should. The lighting is all over the place and way to bright, there seem to be no puzzles and the story so far is just so evil and vile that I can only reason it supposed to be satire or the creator did not understand his previous creations. Either way, very disappointed.

no expectations, still disappointed

Having not played the previous games, I can only review this as a stand-only title. Therefore, I'm not going to talk very much the story. In short, judged as stand-only story, every plot thread seemed to start nowhere, and go nowhere. Oaky, let's move on to the gameplay. It barely exists. It's basically just checking all the button prompts until one of them coughs-up a "key" to the next "door", and many times the "key" and "door" are the only button prompts. There did seem to be a karma system of some kind. Although, considering how on-the-rails the plot felt, I'm going to assume that full karma just means that Laura doesn't burn the roast at the end.

I REALLY wanted to love this game. But it's... blech. After the perfection of the Cat Lady, I guess it's inevitable. Better graphics don't mean anything to me. It's the story, and leaving room for your imagination. I hated what they did to QoM. I pray that they won't make a remix of the Cat Lady and douch it up, like they implanted Susan in to these god-awful "sequels". Now I have to go to play TCL to wash the disappointment away. But I liked Lorelei's voice.
