Сюжет
Лежащая в сердце Европы Богемия славится своими культурными традициями, запасами серебра и множеством замков. После смерти любимого правителя, императора Карла IV, для королевства наступили темные времена: война, коррупция и внутренние противоречия разрывают на части эту жемчужину Священной Римской империи.
Корону унаследовал один из сыновей Карла, Вацлав. В отличие от отца, Вацлав – наивный, потакающий своим желаниям и нечестолюбивый монарх. Его сводный брат — король Венгрии Сигизмунд Рыжий Лис — чувствует слабость своего родича. Под видом акта доброй воли Сигизмунд отправляется в Богемию и похищает сводного брата. Без короля на престоле Сигизмунд волен разграбить Богемию и захватить все ее богатства.
Вы — Индро, сын простого кузнеца — оказались в центре этого хаоса. Вашей мирной жизни приходит конец, когда отряд наемников по приказу короля Сигизмунда сжигает вашу деревню дотла. По велению злодейки-судьбы вы выживаете в этой резне.
Без дома, семьи и будущего вы попадаете на службу к лорду Радцигу Кобыле, который собирает силы, чтобы дать отпор захватчикам. Судьба втягивает вас в этот кровавый конфликт и забрасывает в пекло гражданской войны, где вы помогаете бороться за будущее Богемии.
Огромный реалистичный открытый мир: великолепные замки, бескрайние поля — насладитесь потрясающей современной графикой.
Нелинейный сюжет: проходите задания множеством способов и помните, что каждое ваше решение будет иметь последствия.
Испытание поединком: сражаться в дальнем бою, бить исподтишка или бросаться в рукопашную — выбор за вами. Одержите верх над врагами с помощью десятков разных приемов в захватывающих и кровавых сражениях.
Развитие персонажа: улучшайте навыки, зарабатывайте очки талантов и обновляйте снаряжение.
Динамический мир: ваши действия влияют на то, как люди будут к вам относиться. Сражайтесь, воруйте, соблазняйте, угрожайте, убеждайте или давайте взятки – выбор за вами.
Историческая достоверность: погрузитесь в мир средневековой Богемии, где вас ждут встречи с реальными историческими персонажами.
No bugs for me, no issues with the saving mechanism (I find really nice and immersive).
The game is quite beautiful if your computer can handle it. Secondary quests can be somehow boring but the game is so immersive that you really feel like you are living the life of Henry in 1200 Bohemia.
I really enjoy it, it feels a bit like the unwanted child of morrowind and the witcher.
I do not have a single DLC and this is perfectly fine. So yeah a lot of fun, a lot of different way to play the game, some good story telling with pretty graphics and everything with a welcome touch of realism. I really like it.
The game does feel clunky at the beginning but it is made in this way to represent the low level of the character. As you evolve the commands become easier because your character becomes better at it. I truly appreciate this way of handling levelling.
(Be warned... Spoilers...) First of all: at last we get something at least trying to be a bit closer to the reality. It is not a game for children, where you kill thousands of enemies, drinking your milk with the other hand. So, you have to posess some skills, although I play in a Hardcore mode, and I still wish it was a bit more difficult. What is too easy for sure: archery, hunting and getting money (after several hours of playing you can have the best equipment and tens thousands of Groshen, thanks to hunting and looting killed bandits, it is very naive), too easy is the fight when, after you run for 10 seconds, the enemies forget about you and hide their weapons, too easy is to be able to carry 1000 pounds of goods to sell. But, anyway, it is great that the game is at least trying to be realistic it is great it gives you choice if you want to be a warrior, a thief, a pacifist. After 150 hours I still know I am clumsy in swordfights, and I like it. It is as it should be. Technically the game is very good, although (comparing e.g. to The Witcher 3) the gestures and facial expression are wooden, the world could be much bigger and detailed, especially the main town seems funny: just 10 shops and several other buildings... At least several houndreds of people should live there, shouldn't they? But generally, the game is great, and the work of artists, historians, programmers too. Flaws: still many bugs and some threads not thinked throug. You can go to jail for stealing or killing, although you killed only Cumans and bandits, and never had any stolen (or even taken from a dead trader) item. There are quests which are time sensitive, sometimes it is logic (if you don't hurry, the ill people will die), but sometimes not (talk to the guy to make your friends' work a bit easier). After you finish the mission you get an information that you have failed it. After a fight all the bodies dissapear (after a minute, with all the goods you were going to commandeer). There is a romance, but after the girl gets what she wants she stops talking to you... women... Lots of annoying little things. But still I give 5/5 for an unprecedensed fun thanks to the climate and realism attempt.
Considering how complex this game is I haven't encountered any bad bugs. Sure, my horse magically transports in front of my eyes when I whistle for it. Sure, sometimes I hold conversations with the back of people's heads. But I love being Henry, I want him to succeed, and I'm enjoying playing through his story.
i played a total of 70h through 2 plays.
I love this game and i would've hit it with a 5 stars if it wasn't for the bug and poor game design...
This game just keeps on fucking me over and over.
i died countless times over bugs.
i mean, usually when a game is so bugged that it makes me rage quit, biting my own arm over something so fucking messed up (like enemies that glides over a few meters to hit me), well... it wouldn't have happened in an other game cause i wouldn't play it.
But i actually genuinely like this game so i keep on returning to it, over and over.
just to be fucked and left in rage by it.
i have all DLCs, and some of them i want to play quite badly but man the game is unplayable as is.
i hope there is a Kingdom Come 2 and i hope it will be playable.
I feel bad because I picked it up on sale. The world can only hope to be enriched on more of these games. This is basically one of these rpgs you wait a decade for:
- immersive
- not easy
- deep game mechanics
- story rich, lots of history can be learned
- when the intro started I already played 6 hours
I havent had such fun since skyrim, even without any magic aspects are given here.
