KeeperFX is an open-source remake and fan expansion of Dungeon Keeper.

 

The main goal of KeeperFX is to preserve and expand upon the original Dungeon Keeper experience, offering many new features, improvements, and much more while staying true to the original feeling of the game. You can delve into the original campaign and deeper dungeons, or enjoy levels and campaigns created by the community.  There are an additional 13 bundled campaigns and 2 bundled map packs and many more to download from the Workshop.

It's Okay, But Not Great

For a free mod, it's quite good. The new Player Made Campagins are interesting concepts, and somewhat fun, but there are bugs. The graphical upgrades are good, but somehow the creatures are lacking the intelligence that they had in Dungeon Keeper. This leads to Imps standing around when there are things to do and even when you pick them up and drop them in front of something there is no guarentee they will actually do it., or creatures walking away from battles because they want to train, or eat. Some of the Player Made Campagins are just built on being as difficult as possible, and this may be fun for some, but I don't particularly enjoy it. So I think the title of my review says it all. For a free mod it's fine, but I don't think I would would recommend

to difficult

level 16 - 5 Min the other keeper comes with level 10 kreatures, thats no gaming, i do not want be in the guinness book of records

finally new content :)

ok so interesting difficulty level has increased (undead campain training apparently lol) will figure it out next time enjoying it thank you for reviving this game as playing the same levels in the same way over the years did get a bit tedious but still had the odd game till completion
