KeeperFX is an open-source remake and fan expansion of Dungeon Keeper.
The main goal of KeeperFX is to preserve and expand upon the original Dungeon Keeper experience, offering many new features, improvements, and much more while staying true to the original feeling of the game. You can delve into the original campaign and deeper dungeons, or enjoy levels and campaigns created by the community. There are an additional 13 bundled campaigns and 2 bundled map packs and many more to download from the Workshop.
From bug fixes, restored cut scenes, quests and characters to completely freshly-made new content, Mods are an essential part of the video game preservation. We teamed-up with these community-driven projects creators to offer you this list of handpicked Mods. Combining our strengths, these are now accessible right away, already installed within the base game for the smoothest experience.

Perfect revival of the great game
I played several DK campaigns using older KeeperFX 1.0.0 and it worked flawlessly. Much better graphics, many fixed bugs both in original campaign and game engine. Some of new campaigns are also quite fun (Burdened Imps, Good Campaign, Revenge of the Lord,...)

Must have mod for Dungeon Keeper
The game is getting even more enjoyable with this mod. It brings the keeper to modern PC's and for handheld consoles like Steam Deck. It not only updates the graphics but more importantly fixes all bugs that occurs in original campaign like not spawned creatures or scripts that should occur but was bugged. This is really must have mod and if you didn't used it yet, you should do yourself a favor and just install it. You wont regret it.

I keep coming back to it!
While the original Dungeon Keeper is great, the mod makes it even better! Aside from loads of improvements to quality of life, enemy AI, bug fixes and so on, the active development also meant people were able, and willing, to create new maps and campaigns. Oh and did I mention those maps and campaigns can do so much more than the original maps? Just check out Sapphire Realms as a show case, for example. Highly, highly recommend this mod. And thanks to everyone who developed this and/or was involved in keeping this game of my childhood alive.
