Beautiful game

I was having an eye on this game for quite some time now and I was very happy that it found its way to gog. Now that i have it, I'm more than happy with the results: the developers created a unique adventure game that feels fresh and fun, and what i liked quite a lot was the fact that i can play it with my controller...nice! The story is interesting and presents the views of two characters. Both you will love, the voice acting is greatly done. The voice of Reny is a bit "too" cute sometimes, but i loved her nonetheless. The art style feels unique, i can't remember playing something similar like this. Veterans will need a moment to get used to the camera, but after a minute everything feels smoothly. The puzzles are not too difficult and in case you're stuck, the developers implemented a hint system: love it! To conclude: i can wholeheartedly recommend this game, had a lot of fun with. The developers created something very special, and i will have my eyes on future projects of the developers: Great work! One word to this review titled "Pro-Soviet Pro-Communist propaganda": you can interpret anything into everything if you try hard enough. I think gog reviews are the wrong place to express political opinions.

Just... give... me... a... minute...

It looks nice but it's really hard to get absorbed in. Every interaction means a 5-10 second pause while the character 'gets into position'. You get max 3-5mins of gameplay before a 15-20sec loading screen. Everything takes just a bit too long. Graphics are lovely but glitch often, characters walking thru scenery and the like. A real shame, because it looks like a nice adventure, especially for younger players, but it's pretty infuriating to play.

An enjoyable adventure

A small beautiful adventure game filled with many mini games and puzzles that are logical to solve. Kapia has the option of using a controller or using the mouse. The animation and the story are nicely done. Overall fun and enjoyable.

Kapia embodies the heart of the classics

Kapia is a charming sci-fi fable told from the perspective of a grandfather and granddaughter's bond while making their way through a divided world. There's a handcrafted quality to Kapia which is evidenced by the genuine passion of the creators. The 3D art style is wonky, playful and expressive while simultaneously showcasing moments of beautiful craft and design. The musical score is lovely and complements each scene well. Each load screen comes with a charming child's drawing illustrating moments of the narrative, animated in a dynamic and mesmerizing way. There are many memorable one liners, playful and endearing moments with Reny (the granddaughter) and her robot friend, with great comedic timing. The controls are smooth, the world is engaging to explore and the puzzles are a nice balance of difficulty. The two main character's voice acting are in particular well performed, warm and entertaining. Despite being sci-fi the game has a mythic, storybook quality that resonates. It's fun to uncover the mystery of the narrative. And there's a nice balance of lightness, comedy and playfulness with more serious themes (on society and technology). This game feels so classic, imaginative and unpretentious. It embodies the heart and soul of what I loved about discovering adventure games in the first place. <3

Great game

A post apocalyptic world were everyone lives in domes alongside sentient robots. It’s a strange world that is somewhat like a 60s sci-fi movie idea of a future world. It’s fun, cheesy, and has a strange story. The puzzles are usually straight forward and easy but they are fairly unique to this game. The voice acting is hit and miss but not so bad as to be to distracting. Overall I would easily recommend this game. Kapia was a fun sci-fi romp that leaves you wanting more, yet still manages to have a satisfying ending.
