Extremely linear, bleak, and pointless
TLDR: Skip it if you didn't like the first one. Gameplay is better than the first, but the narrative is less structured. More "A comedy of errors" than "Heat: The Game 2" I like this game for how well and consistently it characterizes Lynch. He kinda got dropped halfway throught the first game and the folks at IO really knocked it out of the park with this game. He mumbles and rambles during gunfights, and that'd be a really cool addition to the narrative if the audio mixing didn't fill it's pants depending on what direction you're looking in. Also turn off shakycam it was a cool idea but the camera is too tight so it's nauseating.

Found footage style but bad gameplay
Kane & Lynch 2 has a unique camera style but can sometimes be annoying due to the shaky cam. The game is pretty buggy but sometimes the glitches make it fun. The shooting is bad, the guns sound like plastic and the recoil is massive. Sometimes shotguns can be more accurate than an assault rifle. The bullets don't actually come from the gun, they come from the middle of the screen. Story is also short, it's about 3 hours and follows Kane and Lynch where everything that they do is somehow fucked up by them and they need to flee the entire country after. The game is worth buying when it's on a sale, but definitely not worth £15.

Action
Short action game with good atmosphere. Good acting. Good setting. Decent action story. The controls are old or getting used to, but when you accept it, it works fine. This is a rollercoaster action game and I wish more games were like this. Oh I forgot, there’s even an interesting unique multiplayer mode where someone is the snitch.
