Jagged Alliance 2

JA2 is by far the most played game in my library. I can play it forever and there is no equivalent on earth that represents its tactical complexity and depth. JA2 may not be the perfect title to begin with, if you are interested in turn-based strategy games. Also, the beginning can be quite frustrating what to do and how to organise the micro-management part in the game. But if you dive deep in the Jagged cosmos, you will see hours becoming minutes and days will pass like klicking on a forward button. JA2 is one of the biggest time killers I've ever played, but I loved every minute in the game. It's challenging even for veterans!

Very open ended and detailed game. Lots of things to do and see within the game. I spent countless hoursplaying this game late into the night. You can even capture cities and build a troops to protect them while each city earns you money. In tern you can buy more mercs and better weapons. There are also a some good Mods from the game around

This a fantastic game. I'm adding this review merely to say that it doesn't run on modern MacOS. There's a Mac download on GOG, which probably works in older versions of MacOS, but not any current one. Twice I got excited about the fact that this game has a Mac installer (it's a great fit for a short sesh, even on a laptop!) and installed it, only to realize it just won't start. Zero stars are taken away for this from the rating, because GOG doesn't market this game as Mac-compatible anymore. When I bought it, it _was_ Mac compatible, now it's not. Technology marches on and all that.

One on the very best in genre of tactical games. On top of that, one of the most replayable games ever made.

Played the hell out of this in the back of the day; was hesitant to reinstall as I wasn't sure if the game mechanics would still be fun, but they are. Kind of amazing the amount of work Sir-Tech put into this game without any guarantee players would even to experience everything (nowadays I think Devs think it's wasted money if players don't experience most of what they've created).
