a good game
One of my favourite games ! The only disadvantage is the lack of modern textures but it s fun ol the game . I hope to see it remastered .

Was rather "average" until.....
I ended up hitting a game stopping bug. At the end of the first chapter there was this gateway to the next that was meant to have been unlocked, it didn't. That meant no further progress possible. Looking at other reviews these kind of game killing bugs happen all the way through it. So it isn't really worth bothering with. But up until it did breakdown it seemed an average game of it's genre, not as bad as some of the 1-star reviews would suggest...... but until it's fixed (which it won't be - come on, Bioware are still going to be updating this? Don't think so!) it isn't worth even starting, let alone buying.

An amazing nostalgic experience
This game brings me back to the feeling of the old Bioware, KOTOR 1 and 2 included. This gives me all of the feels of being a child in middle school, staying up late, playing on the weekends trying to get the most open palm/closed fist as i could all by chapter 2 and lost in time having so much fun. I miss these feelings an ARPG can bring, albeit with a little jank here and there, character and substance with a fantastic world is what BioWare used to be.

Bad port from console to pc
This game has lag/stuttering problem because it was made for 30 fps on xbox and not 60 fps for pc. You can set this game to run on 30 fps by changing ClampFPS= to 0, in the file jadeempire.ini, you will still having lag/stuttering issues some places in the game. It is a good game, the reason i give it 2 stars is bad port from console to pc.

Crouching Tiger, Missing Dragon
I bought my copy of the Jade Empire special edition for the PC some years back, and thought it enjoyable; its flaws were outweighed by the pure merit of the game being set in the magical Asian mythos. However, I would agree with the opinions which state that this beautiful interactive wuxia feels a bit rushed and/or is too short. Unfortunately... which brilliant RPGs were truly finished before being released? Even classics like PT or BG were released before the developers truly finished what they had planned, robbing us of even greater games that might have been... to not even mention KOTOR2 or DA2. Jade Empire faired comparatively better than those two. I'd say enjoy the game for what it is, and what it is is still quality entertainment set in an unique world nothing akin to which, to my best knowledge, has been attempted before or after in the genre.
