Classic RPG crawling

As a hardcore crawling game, it requires to be methodic and patient. Think twice before each movement, especially at the time of facing built-in micromanaging: Collecting water, food, and resources to craft campfires (where you can safely rest). It is true that the game strongly penalizes the 'rest' option, pushing you to use only campfires, but in the other side you can save the party anytime. The atmosphere and music add in favor to the dark theme of the game. The development of character's skills is not subjected entirely to the initial selection but can be shifted as the adventure advances. This avoids having to restart the game to re-balance the character, and instead you can develop a skill while using it. Very fun game, but if you enjoy this kind of slow pace fun.

Unique, dark, fun

Dark, ambitious and unique entry to the genre. A fun, entertaining adventure created by a single dev with an interesting take on combat, spell-casting and skilling up in a first person cRPG. WELL worth giving it a couple hours in the demo to see what you think or if the gameplay looks fun, just jump in and enjoy the demonic apocalypse!

Very grindy and repetitive

- Leveling up skills is slow. You might as well watch paint dry cause that is faster. - The game requires you to unlock character creation perks. You get one extra perk when you reach level 10 (takes something like 5h) . You only then get this perk when you create a new character ... Yeah, I am not going to start over. - The loot is trash. You get same stuff over and over again, and the bonuses are boring. Actually getting any bonus in gear is almost impossible anyway. - No puzzles. You just stroll around killing endless hordes of same enemies. - Town hub (you get there eventually) is lackluster - Minimalistic story. You come to your camp and everyone is dead. Time to walk around randomly - Quests. You know the highly unoriginal quests in MORPGS of killing stuff? This game has even more unoriginal quest. Three types of quests a) Kill every enemy in area B) Find some random prisoners c) Kill some tougher enemy. Instead of this I recommend picking up Stonekeep, LoG 2 or Vaporum 2 for example

A game that wants you to rage quit

At first, the game looked very interesting, with a lotta possibillities to make your own character. But after playing a few hours, I began to hate it. The fights are really unfair. The resting mechanic is crap. You can rest every time, but then there is a ca. 70% percent chance to get attacked and killed. You can only safely rest, when you set up a campfire, but to do so you need enuff woodsticks and flintstones. Flintstones are absolutely rare in this game, the chance to find one is near to zero. What`s worst, is the fact that many things can only be done at a campfire, things like puryfying food and water (unpuryfied water and food has a good chance to inflict sickness), heal sicknes ore broken limbs. Of course, you not only need a campfire for curing your character, but also some resources, which you seldom have. So, this game is at first very promising, but turns out to be a very unfair and rage inducing game.

Very engaging and stylish crawler

This game comes very close to being a perfect dungeon crawler. First, about the positives. The game absolutely oozes with style, it's hellish creature designs and overall foreboding atmosphere being a testament to that. The game manages to create a very real sense of hopelessness and dread in the player, especially in the first few hours of playing. Unfortunately, as the game progresses, that foreboding sense disappears and the grindy nature of the game reveals itself. The repetitiveness of the game is the main reason for me to not to give it a five star rating, which otherwise it wholly deserves.
