Great sequel to Hollow Knight
I have finished the game to 100% before reviewing. The game is overall great. The content is evenly distributed though the whole playthrough so the game does not get worse towards the end. The game is however longer than Hollow Knight, so if you don't expect to play 50+ hours game, plan to take a break at some key point and return to the game later, treating it as two games. Compared to the first Hollow Knight the game has added many mob arenas that are not optional, and this required balancing not only the boss difficulty, but also mob difficulty. This could have likely been solved by reworking or removing some game mechanics such as needle/nail levels, but given the constraints of not changing the game too much the game is well balanced. Developers did a great job keeping the style of the first Hollow Knight and not changing too many of the game mechanics, HUD etc., so the game does not feel too different like some "Hollow Knight 2".
