It's appallingly boring

They try to have a story, but the first four or five missions are absolutely uninteresting. I know they tried to remake several of the levels from Codename 47, but I don't think I got to any of them yet. It's just the new missions that are mind-numbingly bad. I don't know how they go from an absolute gem like H2:SA to this. Easily the worst classic Hitman game (so probably at least as bad as the always-online ones starting in 2016). As unrefined as Codename 47 is, I'd rather play that again than try Contracts ever again.

Play "Hitman: Codename 47"

"Second best Hitman game", are you kidding me?? This is the weakest Hitman game and the only one, which is not good. While "Hitman: Codename 47" was PC exclusive, Contracts is an imcomplete remake of Codename 47. Incomplete because some of the best levels are missing and the new ones are not great. The remake levels are not as good as the original ones, because the tone is wrong. The original Hitman had a perfect balance between dark humor and seriousness. Here it's all dark and gritty (always raining, dark scenes) and not much dark humor left. Do yourself a favor and play Codename 47, which perfectly defines how Hitman is supposed to be. Contracts is also ruined by the save feature and the mini-map, which takes the suspense away. In Codename 47 you cannot save during missions, but this is great, because it makes the experience more intense and immersive.

GOG sells games that do not launch!!

I have bought multiple Hitman games from GOG, especially because I support right to own games and keep them forever. However, what is the point of paying good money when none of the Hitman games I bought ever launch?! What a m a s s i v e w a s t e o f t i m e ! I hope with all the money they get from their customers, that they finally build an automated testing tool to see if the stuff they sell still works rather than make customers try things out and then deal with complaints later on. GOG is making it hard to forget Steam and Epic!

Nice

That game brings me back to the days when i ran to the video store to lend hitman 2 and then smoke a joint and enjoy endless cleaning sessions. I never played contracts since now. My only complaint is that the steam version has a patch for widescreen.

It simply......

DOES. NOT. WORK. You cannot even MOVE in the game. Nothing on the forums fixes it. Well not for me anyway. This is another example of both GOG "shovel (of shit) ware" AND them breaking their own "it works" promise. Anyone remember that? Back when GOG were trusted? GOG should not be selling this anymore if it doesn't work on today's PCs. And even though this makes sense and is truthful an honest, you just watch how many negrepping scumbags will come along.........
