Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete

I fondly remember the times when I was in elementary school, sitting at the home computer with my brother and cousin, taking turns to try ourselves at winning a part of the campaign (we had no idea about what we were doing and frankly sucked). After years of re-listening to the beautiful soundtrack while studying or working, I decided to download this game to finally beat it. I am so grateful that I did! HOMM3 simply does not get old and never feels repetitive. This game is like a comfort tv-show I like to rewatch or a your favorite meal that mom cooked just for your visit. Despite being old, this game still looks beautiful to me. It has so much charm, witty artefact descriptions, little game mechanics that you can keep on discovering. This game was the first one I bought here on GOG and gave me a reason to discover new cool games. It still wins by amount of hours played and has a special place in my heart <3

I am a big fan of turn-based strategy games, and this is definately one of the best TBS games out there. There is a great variety of races and units. For me, the greatest challenge to overcome is simply the limitations the game places on you for building units each turn. It is very fair and a realistic/excellent system, but it takes a little getting used to. Once I got used to it though, it is incredible. Another aspect that I find interesting about this game is the importane of the heroes in this game. By fully exploiting a hero's special ability, a player can find many of the abilities lending tremendous impacts to each scenario. I would definately recommend this to anyone who is a fan of TBS games. Two thumbs way up!

Of the hundreds of games I have played over the years this is the game I find myself returning to year after year. With many scenarios, great multi-player, and beautiful music/art, it is easily the greatest in the series. The game mechanics are genius and its easy to find oneself playing for hours. The only cause for disappointment is that it is difficult to set up online games with friends. GOG has it listed at a pretty good price and I highly recommend you give it a shot.

I have played heroes of might and magic 1, heroes of might and magic 2, heroes of might and magic 3, heroes of might and magic 4, heroes of might and magic 5 and the "#¤"¤" version that suddenly had a new name and a 6 after, might & magic heroes 6(might & magic heroes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 does not exists, it starts on 6) and I can tell you that Homm(heroes of might and magic) 3 is the best of the entire Serie(1-5) and the 4th was the worst. Homm 2 was epic when it game, but it had a bug that was never fixed where you might step on a certain hex of picking up a certain objet or chest caused a crash instantaneously, not for that bug homm 2 would have been the best, it still have such an awesome feel, the music the ambiance the graphics, it is a game you must on as well Homm 3, I cant even begin to count the hours I played this game, but it is more than 10 000 I am sure !!! it is a very good game, and you can always build your own maps or download a map someone else have made, but dont forget to get the free mod called WoG(wake of the gods) which introduce level 8 monsters(level 7 can be upgraded one more time) I already have 4 CD of this game or I would have bought the digital in a heartbeat. Be ready to loose many hours if you buy this game ;)
