Heroes of Might and Magic® 2: Gold

is it really work with vista? has anybody tried it?

If it worked 5 stars but it is constantly crashing on me. I'm running Windows 7 64bit. running as admin and i missed around with the compatibility options as well, any help would be great

The game itself is a classic. The current GOG version has been sabotaged. "Graphics Setup.exe" runs like malware, has no window, does not exit by itself, uses up large amount of cpu. The game exe file runs in a tile window fixed to the top left of the screen, almost impossible to see. Game is pretty much unplayable. Previous versions of the game on GOG uses DosBox was at least playable. There is no particular reason to buy the game.

Hi! I played a lot of heros of might and magic parts in my life and realy enjoyed it. It was calm and fun and relaxing. After i installed this update where the KI got updated on "standard" difficulty its a nightmare!! Its pure stress and zero fun anymore. I have to save after each baby step to survive and have to reload 50.000 times and still not beat it. The enemys are hardcore now and disgusting. They not fight each other and you have like zero gold in compare to the enemys on that mission. If i leave my castle one step all 3 enemys rushes immediatly to my castle. If i go back they go back to theyr castle. So i have to do an extra hero that collect stuff on the map and leave my main hero/army in castle. The enemy walks with one hero that have tons of creatures and collect everything. I can only beat it in my castle after 100 rounds. But they never attack my castle. So i can only go out of the castle so they all run to my castle. Then collect one or 2 things with the other hero and fast go back into my castle with my main hero so the enemys go back to theyr castle. Expect of this one hero with tons of creatures. After im back in castle he go immediatly to attack my second hero. So i have to do this all the time. Go out of my castle so they let my second hero do one step, and back to my castle bevore they reach it. The map is ultra small and they arrive my castle with within 2 rounds. I think this is only cause of this mod/script from ressurection team. Why they must touch the KI and make it pure stress??

The game crashes on startup. Lots of nostalgia for this game but 1 star because I can't even make it to the menu screen.
