Well worth it
The witch hunter is a great additional class, mainly focused on medium ranged combat. It really excels when it comes to corridor fighting, and larger number of enemies who bunch together. The repeater crossbow is not as accurate as the elf's bow, but instead fires four bolts in quick succession. The witch hunter comes with several fire based skills, and used together they will make short work of most enemies. Placing a Witch Pyre, backing up a few steps and then unleashing a few flaming dogs usually does the trick. In addition, once you complete the game, you will gain a class bonus to all your character's Skill Critical damage. For 100 000 gold you can aquire the pet raven, which will ignore walls when picking up gold and ores, which is a great improvement over the other pets - especially if you don't have the key to a locked treasure room, just stand outside and let the raven collect the loot anyway! A well rounded hero, might take a few tries to learn, but that's part of the game. Seems to be best when employing hit and run tactics, leaving marks behind and placing pyres in the midst of the enemy.
