Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Original Soundtrack

Andy LaPlegua (of Combichrist fame) has one again knocked it out of the park. His work on No Mercy for the wildly underrated DMC was just a taste of what was to come. A brilliant fusion of dark nordic folk and oppressive grinding industrial is the perfect backdrop for this emotional meat grinder of a game and it manages to hold up as excellent ambient listening on its own. I'm a little sad that amazing hard left for the final song in the game didn't make it into the soundtrack, but in a way that's better because it'll keep the surprise for anyone experiencing it for the first time.

This OST keeps making me want to play the game. I can picture parts of the game as I listen to the Soundtrack. It is really well arrangeded. I think this is the first review I do for a video game soundtrack, and it is well deserved. The song from the end credits is not in the OST, but it kind of does not match the OST anyhow. I think it is called Illusion. Regardless the soundtrack is a masterpiece, that befits the masterpiece that the main game is. I listed to the soundtrack at least once a week because is part of my work background music (I like to listen to OST while I work so I can concentrate better). I you liked the game, get this OST
