Just to make this clear: Gwent changed a lot when it got released. With Homecoming a lot of the mechanics from Beta were removed. And I understand that this got many people upset. Gwent is not like it used to be. However, this does not mean that the new Gwent is bad. Some people may dislike the changes, but a lot of people really love them. And I am one of them. The card board looks way better. The animated leaders give the battles a more immersive feeling. And diversity of decks really improved. Before Homecoming you only saw 2-3 archetypes. Now there are much more, even though not all of them are equally good. Gwent has its problems in its current states. But I am optimistic that these will get addressed once the game is released for consoles. Gwent is a lot of fun and since it is free to play, you should definitely try the game. Also, the f2p model is the best on the market when you compare it to other games like MtG Arena, Heartstone and Artifact. You get a lot of free stuff and it is no problem to craft a top tier deck without spending real money and without investing too much time. That means you can also make new decks without any problems if you got bored of your current deck.

I only gave it 3 stars because of the amazing Witcher: Enhacned Edition deal. Otherwise, well the lag is so huge I can't really play Gwent. And it's a card game. On GOG. I do have a toaster, but this seems too much. Sry, CD Projekt Red

Syndicate is op! and i'm not askin to nerf it but buff other factions.. I mean wtf?? scoia'tael got useless junk of cards atm compared to other factions...Balance the game. Anyway i always love CDPR

If you like card games such as HS and MTG, give this a go. Quite a bit more tactical than HS, better balance than MTG. F2P is truly viable.
