ГВИНТ: Ведьмак. Карточная игра

I played the original in Witcher 3 and was originally very satisfied. Once the beta started, I was eager to get in and try it but immediately felt out of place due to the matchmaking at the time which caused me to have a negative experience. I occassionally tried to go back but the game never caught my attention again as I had moved on the Elder Scrolls Legends. After ESL made their switch to Sparky Pants and ruined the mobile version of the game I decided to go back to Gwent and give it another, at the time I had not realized that Homecoming had come along. At first I was shocked that the 3 lanes were reduced to 2 but I quickly got over it and found myself really enjoying the game including the artifact component (even it frustrates me time due to the lack of variety of artifacts being used) as it allowed for a little more to occur during the player's turn aside from putting down a card or activating a leader ability. Another addition that I really liked was the use of provisions instead of the gold, silver, bronze. Instead of being restricted in your selection of cards because of a limit to Gold or Silver slots, provisions allows you more control over what you want to include in your deck and has the added benefit of being easier for the devs to balance. "Artifact Sihil is too powerful, lets pump up the provision cost and see how players will alter their decks to keep it in or remove it and create new strategies". At this time, I have only paid for a cheap starter bundle and Thronebreaker but really, you do not need to put money into this game unless you are looking to obtain the animated card (Gwent does this better than any other card game I have played). Overall, if you have time to spare, give it a try and you mind find yourself liking it. This is currently my primary card game and I'm also hoping for a mobile release in the future to keep me playing, because I can't always be at home when I have a break from work.

Just upset that we lost dynamical game by standardizing "Thronebreaker" style. (Why it can't be just another vision of Gwent inside of "Other" game). I was thinking: "Why did they changed the game to the 'thronebreaker' style, from what we had?". When the 'Crimson curse' announce happened- I completely took answer- that reason was the skins... (When it was just a paints for simple heroes, my hope was still alive).

I expected something like the the witcher 3 minigame, but whith new stuff, but I found a game that changes even the core mechanics and I prefer the original

Basically in this game whoever has more cards in the last round wins. The entire game, all combos and anything whatsoever revolves around trying to have a bigger hand in the final round. Its all a facade and I spent real life money to look pretty in this game. Spend your money on full games and not cosmetics. Better yet, spend money on REAL LIFE and go camping, play cards around a real fire with real people. The end.

I have been playing since beta and the game has evolved alot since then. Some would argue the game have evolved in the wrong direction while some argue it is going in the right direction. For me, this is the best TCG out there and i always come back to Gwent even though I try to play other TCG titles. Keep in mind that I am a big Witcher and cdpr fan so that might influence my 5 star review.. but it is free and if you are one of those people who are thinking about downloading the game and trying it out i strongly recommend you to do so and try a few games. If you won't enjoy the game atleast there is the epic music that I am sure you will enjoy ;) Thank you CDPR for a great TCG game!
