How can a game released in 2005 have no mouse support? For me this makes navigation too cumbersome to even play the game. Refunded.

Was reading on the Steam reviews to buy the GoG version instead, list of problems I discovered IN THIS VERSION inside of ten minutes - Tons of resolution issues, no 16x9 Very few performance options Bugs within the performance menu No mouse support on any menu Game stuck in borderless windowed mode with no fullscreen support Thick white lines along the edges of the screen on all resolutions Cutscenes in tiny 300x400 window in center of screen GETTING TIRED OF PC GAMING, I'M TIRED OF SPENDING AN HOUR JUST TO GET ONE PROGRAM TO WORK. I HAVE L I M I T E D FREE TIME TO SPEND GAMING AND I CANNOT STAND STUPID CRAP LIKE THIS. KEEP THE $2.50 GOG, IT'S NOT EVEN WORTH MY TIME TO REFUND IT.

What do we love in our RPGs? - Memorable Characters and Story? - Exciting and engaging quests? - A vast, intricate, vibrant, highly detailed and/or original world? - Fun and complex character advancement? Gothic 2 has none of these. The voice acting is atrocious. Characters, including your own name brand store bought prefabricated generic guy are all made of cardboard. The world is... yuck. Even duller than stock medieval fantasy in approx 6 shades of brown. WTF quests with wtf progression and wtf solutions with barely even any pretense and no pay out. Character advancement is an offensively simplistic slog. Your development can't even be measured. It basically amounts to maybe attack animations playing out a half second faster. The story is nothing but a baseless fetch-and-grab played out for endless hours on repeat. There is no world lore. You can't even say there's not anything original because there isn't any world building at all. The combat is senselessly difficult to the point where the devs are in serious danger of making people think they're compensating for some sort of deficiency. One Star Out of Five? NO Star out of anything. ZERO enjoyment factor. BAD GAME.

I've been googling for the last 1 and a half hours. Game won't launch. Tried installing patches (which only come in german) and apparently there is a specific order you should be able to install fixes. Should I fix my game right after buying it? Probably not. Should I refun this untested old piece of garbage? Probably.

It seems to be a fairly common problem amongst people who own these games. I hope to solve this problem and play.
